The hotel is utterly comfortable in virtually every way and it provides superb service in a hushed setting that is more like a club. Every detail to foster a sense of welcoming hospitality has been attended to. Such total quality is a rare experience in today's world.

Superb hotel with the mos spetaculad location in Washington. Surrounded by The White House, great restaurants and museums, The Jefferson is the place to be when traveling to DC. A Beaux-Arts landmark (long known as the “White House North” for its parade of notable guests) transformed into an homage to the third American president in the form of a luxury...

The Jefferson has the personal touches of a boutique hotel combined with the professionalism and standards of a larger 5-star hotel. Pros: Excellent, knowledgeable, and personable concierge Adrian. He sized us up and recommended a museum exhibit and restaurant that we enjoyed very much. Delicious hotel breakfast (eggs perfectly poached, toast done just right and warm) served on beautiful Juliska...

Everything about this stylish, luxury and classic hotel reeks perfection, warmth and a rare attention to detail. The owners and managment are to be congratulated on this magnificent hotel. The concierge, Cliff, was a mine of invaluable information about anything we asked for, especially the best restaurants. The bed has to be THE most comfortable bed we have ever slept...

My son and I stayed here last year and I'm just getting around to reviewing. Hands down the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Extremely helpful and friendly staff - even for a down to earth mom and her 12 year old son who may not look the "luxury hotel" part sometimes Every need was considered and accommodated when...

The difference between a 4 and 5 star hotel is the service. There was nothing special about the room, but the service and the food was really good. We ate 5 meals in the hotel over two days: 1 room service, 2 bar meals and 2 breakfasts. I highly recommend ricotta pancakes and the french toast.

If you are looking for an extraordinary hotel experience, you should stay at the Jefferson, located three blocks north of the White House. The hotel exudes a comfortable luxury from the moment you enter its graceful marble lobby. For the first visit, a suite would do and it did very nicely too. The Jefferson is a five star hotel in every way. There's nothing ostentatious about this rather elegant place though. The running simply fits together seamlessly in a discreet and well oiled operation. It is a thoroughly nice hotel where the staff are exceedingly pleasant and nothing...

This classy hotel is centrally situated not about 5 blocks from the White House. The place is well-decorated with significant inspiration from Jefferson's home Monticello. The staff is well-trained and responsive. I just had a few delays with room service. Overall, the rooms are spacious and the mattress is of high quality. I would highly recommend it.

This hotel is a throw back in time from the minute you walk through a door that is politely opened by a doorman.
