We will definitely go back. Great hiking trails, nice campground, and close to town. We went to visit our daughter and her husband and the campground is very close to them. There is a variety of activities in the campground and they cater to hikers and bikers. The hiking trails vary in length and difficulty so there is something for...

My wife and I stayed in a cabin at Chewacla in May of 2015 while our son attended summer band camp at Auburn University. The park was nice and well kept around the cabins and small lake. The hiking trails were fun but challenging in places after a rain. The falls were roaring when we were there because of all...

This park and sites we had were very well laid out. Three families travelling together getting good sites close to each other are sometimes difficult. We had one pull-through and two back-in sites on second loop beside each other and all were very shady. Lake was nice, but crowded. Waterfall was not as big as we expected, but pretty. It...

We 3 ladies arrived at our cabin on a Friday night. The cabin was perfect! It looked rustic on the inside; very large rock fireplace, the view of the lake was great! The kitchen was satisfactorily equipped, although next time we will pack a dishpan as the sink was a farmhouse sink. Each cabin comes with the use of a...

These cabins were built around the 30s by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). They are immaculately clean, impeccably quiet (there were no guests at cabins near us, so that may have ha something to do with the quiet). They are beautifully rustic, the entire interior from the floor to the top of the vaulted ceilings are made with beautifully stained...

My fiancé and I went for a day during mid-July 2014. I believe it was only $2 to get in and we packed a picnic. We hiked a bit down the falls and used the rocks to get all the way down to the bottom (a little bit dangerous but awesome)!! After that, we ate our picnic at the highest...

We stayed this past Thursday through Sunday whole visiting Auburn for saturday's game. We thought the sites were pretty nice and level, some were a little small but we found one we really liked. I Quiet with neighbors all there doing same thing as us. Grounds were well kept. Bath house has laundry facility, was clean, and A/C was nice...

Excellent park for hiking. The park is not very large but it boosts a lot of hiking trails w/ some really scenic views. The trails do range from easy to strenuous so there is something for everyone. There is also a really nice lake located here that allows fishing and swimming. There's even a diving board (high dive) located on...

Perfect place to camp, quite, gravel sites. We had a 65 ft pull-tru. The campground is very clean and the price was right at $27 dollars a night and it 1 mile out of town. Only bad thing is no internet and phone service is very spottie.

We slept in a tent but had access to their restrooms, hot showers, laundry facilities, swimming area, fishing, trails and that was just one night. Next time i think we need to make a weekend of it to get to do more. We just ran out of time. One final note they have security kinda. The ranger there drove through...

“As with all State Parks, there is an entrance fee. Here it is $2 per adult and $1 per child. On weekends it is $3 for adults and $2 for children. If you are camping here then your camping fee covers this.”
