Thank you so much for a lovely stay. Amber and Sam, owners of hotel are so caringly and treated us with care. We love the room, old Era style ambiance and complimentary light breakfast in the morning.

I was on a solo mototorcyle trip, overnighting in Alturas, and my usual place (Rim Rock Motel) was fully booked. This hotel was Plan B, and I would normally have avoided it because I prefer a place where I can park the bike right outside my room. But what a great place this is! My room was clean and comfortable,...

Great old and historical building. The pics on the walls in halls are a little creepy (the eyes follow you....lol) but everyone there was so nice, the beds are extremely comfortable and the small town is just very quaint. Will stay there again!!

This hotel is a restoration in progress but well worth your time if you are up for a bit of adventure. My sister and I shared room 210, the treadle room, with private bath. It was a fun adventure which we enjoyed. If you're looking for modern amenities, this is not the place, no elevator, wifi is spotty, no TV....

Came for a class reunion and stayed in room 1 at the niles. Cozy room, very very quiet hotel, and had great amenities. Love the vintage feel from this 100 year old hotel. You don't find this kind of beauty often so I just love how the niles sticks to its roots. Also thank you Starbucks for being open downstairs...

If you're looking for the Ritz, this is NOT the place for you...... We always stay here when road-tripping north on the 395 in Cali. Absolutely Charming!! No TV - No Phones - Just quaint old country coziness!! Always spotlessly clean and comfortable, this 100+ year old Hotel boasts one of the BEST STEAKHOUSES anywhere!! Be sure to arrive before...

I had the pleasure of staying in this old refurbished hotel. It was quiet and the rooms done very nicely and the room had a room air conditioner which worked well. Antique bar, wide staircase, sitting rooms etc. The dining room had very good food. To top this stay off, the staff was very personable a joy to interact with...

Historic old hotel in downtown Alturas. I was in town on business for a week and chose the Niles as I prefer hotels to motels and like to support family-owned businesses. I made an excellent choice. The room was comfortable and large, the mattress almost like sleeping at home. The bathroom was tiny, as expected for an old hotel, but...

The saloon and dining room are closed Sunday's. Room 202 has no view, no TV (which is normally okay), but when room is 10x10 with no view or interesting walls, it feels like a jail cell. There is no service to speak of. The whole place just feels blah. A total disappointment.

Recently spent a few nights at the Niles Hotel visiting family in town. Absolutely loved our stay at the Niles. Stayed in the beach room. It was very nicely decorated, clean, quite and very comfortable. The food both in the dining room and coffee shop was out of this world. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to...
