Stayed at this hotel for the first time in November to go see the Disney parks during the holiday season. We had a fantastic experience. The rooms are about as expensive as a slightly used Mercedes Benz, but the convenience factor can't be beat. You...More
We were doing a super-quick in-and-out trip to Disneyland and California Adventure so location was key for us. We stayed at the Grand Californian and our stay was wonderful! The room was very clean and comfortably appointed with 2 queen beds and a daybed/sofa.
We really wanted to surprise the kids by staying here. It’s pricey, but we payed to have a stress free experience. The hotel is nice and has great amenities such as a pool, gym and restaurants, but you can’t beat the ease of being able...More
This was our fourth visit to this hotel. It is expensive as one might expect being part of Disney properties. We were very pleased with the refurbished room and lodge. Still has the original vibe with wonderful updates. The service was excellent and the bed...More

The craftsman club reopening on the 6th floor is said to be pushed back to December 8th and you should know there's been quite a few complaints about where temporary club is. Right now they are having breakfast hours at napa rose which is fine. However they have moved tea, appetizers and dessert to an outside location with outdoor seating. Reports of food melting in hot weather and other problems so you might want to call before you go as it's a lot of money to be paying for club.

Pinnochio's workshop was not open when we were there. Having stayed at Disneyland hotel I would prefer to be there. I am not a fan of the Grand Californian. The rooms are small and hard to maneuver around the beds. The Grand Californian doesn't do anything extra like the Disneyland Hotel does. My granddaughter was supposed to get autographed photo and button for her birthday and it never came. The housekeeping staff was awful. I could've stayed at the Disneyland Hotel twice for what we paid at the Grand. We didn't use the direct access to California Adventure so staying there for that reason and paying double is nuts. The Disneyland Hotel is more kid friendly and the pools are better. I didn't feel the renovated room we stayed in was that great. I didn't like the open closet, the fact there was only one mirror in the place and nothing but the bed in our room so nowhere extra to sit. We have stayed at the Ayres Inn at Anaheim many times and our rooms there were more plush, larger with more amenities. All we got at the Grand was the room. No extras.
