The Lodge at Angelus Oaks blew us away this last weekend. First of all; I used to stay up there a few years ago and the cabins and management were going downhill. Called a couple of years back and they were under renovation. Took another chance this last weekend and called same day for a 2 night stay, we were... More

We booked the cabin from Australia and were pleasantly surprised. The cabin had everything one needs. Very clean and "homey". It was pure pleasure to stay there for a couple of nights right in the forest. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the owners when we left, to thank them and let them know how happy we were.

My Fiancé's cousin was getting married at a YMCA camp new Angelus Oaks, CA. Not wishing to stay in a dormitory for the weekend, we chose to stay at The Lodge at Angelus Oaks which was only 10 minutes away. Since there were not many options in the area, we were not sure what to expect (we were just hoping... More

Staying here brings back memories of how it used to be when my family went to the mountains. Cabins are fun and place is nice. The people that run the place are courteous and caring. If you want a nice place close to many trails and the lake, I suggest that you go here. Restaurant across the street is homey... More

Stayed 1 night last weekend and loved it! Our family of 5 stayed in #2, the 6 person cabin, and our friends (family of 4) stayed in #3, 4 person cabin. We had the best time - the kids had a blast hiking and exploring nearby so they were in heaven. Our cabin had a huge front porch so we... More

We took the whole family up during the winter. Rented 2 cabins, and and it could not have been a nicer experience. Very close to Big Bear, but far enough away that you avoid the circus and the traffic. Cabins are all renovated, and sleeping is great as it is nice and quiet. The restaurant up the road is great... We had a very enjoyable visit here over New Year's Eve! The room was clean, cozy, whimsically decorated and there were lots of nice little touches - a bottle of Martinelli's and 2 glasses to toast the New Year, popcorn, coffee, cozy flannel bed linens etc. Sunny is gracious and welcoming - you couldn't meet a nicer hostess. I am... More

Great Experience!! My wife and I had been watching for opening of cabins for some time now. Before they actually opened this summer they allowed us to do a trial run of one of the newly renovated cabins...What a treat and reasonably priced!!! Sunny is a fantastic hostess, making sure we were comfortable and ready to help with anything. Beautiful... More
