Beautiful lobby and room. Exquisite lobby personnel in a dog friendly place. Let's hope the restaurant re-opens soon. Breakfast was abundant, but not very elegant. It is a minute away from 101 and from the hotel everything is within walking distance. Visit City Hall for sure, it is a gem.

This is my 8th visit to The Carlton, and is exceptional as always. The staff is always very very helpful. The hotel is always quiet, peaceful, and well maintained. Something new this visit is a continental breakfast, which I enjoyed. My room (a top floor balcony king) is quite large, very clean, and has the most comfortable bed in which...

Very nice hotel lovely rooms and huge beautiful bathrooms. Very good service from all staff that we interacted with. The rooms at the back were very quiet and you can get them quite dark. Having access to the patio and workout room was great. Continental breakfast was surprisingly comprehensive.

This is a beautiful hotel. Lovely rooms, friendly front desk staff and very comfortable beds. The bathroom was very nice and we really enjoyed our stay. Our room opened onto the courtyard and it was so nice to sit out there and relax. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at.

On par with the nicest rooms I've ever had. Compare with 4-star SF, SD, Boston, Chicago or London. Extra large room with extra large jetted tub, separate shower and gorgeous finishings, this gem would make a great get away to local wineries. A discount compared to northern wine country. Yes it is on Main Street and the parking is not...

This was our second stay at the Carlton Hotel. From the beautiful lobby with the awesome fire place, inviting sitting area and marble floors to the luxurious old world rooms the hotel is awesome! They have added a free continental breakfast sine our last visit - just one more thing to love about this hotel.

Elegantly renovated Historic Hotel. Great room! The bed was really Nice!! Staff was nice and suggested places nearby to have dinner and breakfast. My only complaints are the lighting in the bathroom (It is dim, which looks pretty, but is horrible for putting on makeup. It should be adjustable) and our shower door did not keep the water inside which...

From Travis at the front desk to Deana, the GM, Carlton Hotel made my stay memorable. Plus, the bed was one of the best hotel beds I've ever slept in. Carlton Hotel is right downtown, extremely conveniently located near Fig Good Food (great restaurant) and the Wine Empourium wine bar. Look no further when you're in Atascadero!

Road Warrior stay in hotels 50 weeks a year. This hotel is nice but filled with loud, drunk guests who attend the various beer fests, wine events...in the area. The front desk clerk quoted one price but charged another. When I told her that she charged $50 more she said well that was for parking and guest fee. (Guest fee?...

We were looking for somewhere to stay before visiting Hearst Castle the next day and we were directed to Tia beautiful hotel in the middle of nowhere. It was reasonably priced but from the moment we arrived we new this would be a nice place to stay with very nice appointments, spacious rooms and luxurious furnishing and the attached restaurant...
