I have been working in Aalmosa the past nine years and stayed in Lamplighter Apartments as well as rooms. Rooms are what to be expected...clean and thats about it. The apartments are really not very nice although very cheap....towels are horrible, Internet service totally sucks. Jacuzzi are not working...sauna not working well if it is, There was a laundry facility...

We stayed here when we visited the Sand Dunes. Room was OK. Not the Ritz for sure but everything worked OK. Refrigerator was a little temperamental. Our room needed more electrical outlets. Walking distance to downtown bars and restaurants. Breakfast was good. We would probably stay here again.

This is your typical roadside budget motel. Those who have written complaints about it above are, I'm sure, justified in their opinions. After all, in our room, too, the TV was postage stamp in size. There was a sign warning about plugging in the refrigerator. Light switches didn't work in an intuitive way. And threadbare would be a compliment. Yet...

Definitely could use some updates but overall good for a basic motel. The hot breakfast was very good. Full meal with coffee included. Bedding was clean and comfortable. No ice available and hot tub looked a little dirty for our enjoyment but close to Sand Dunes and good local eateries.

Obviously a budget motel but room was recently painted, furniture dated but clean, bed comfortable with fresh linens, towels older but clean. Room rate includes a made to order breakfast with eggs, ham, bacon, or sausage, toast, coffee or juice. Much preferred over typical continental breakfast. We would stay again.

We have stayed at the Lamplighter many times in the past but havent been through here in about 3 years. We stayed there this weekend and was very dissappointed. They have not done anything toward improvements. My wife wouldnt even used the shower. I did and it made the bedroom floor wet, major leak somewhere. The whole room was a...

We picked this hotel because it was affordable. We were thrilled with the value once we got there. Clean, well maintained and just what we were looking for. Stayed one night as we were just passing through. It suited us.

We stay in 30-40 hotels a year traveling as a band. We came into Alamosa in June of 2014 for a show and the promoter booked us in this hotel. Normally we handle this ourselves. We go into the rooms late, after 1am. This is obviously a budget motel, so you shouldn't expect luxury. I do expect any motel to...

All we would say is that the Lamplighter needs a new wick! Disappointed in the whole experience especially as it was our first introduction to small town Colorado. Can I say any more but avoid. There must be better in town.
