This resort is well worth the small distance from downtown Aspen for two reasons. One, the walk or shuttle to town is actually a great way to see Aspen. Two, with only 98 suites and an onsite art walk...you are truly staying on beautiful grounds....More
What a great place to visit. I have been at this resort several times over the last few years for business conferences and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice, clean rooms with beautiful walking trails, bicycle riding, etc. great place for some peace and quiet in...More
Just open your windows and let the sound of the river rush you to sleep and then get up for a hike on the trails that lead right up to your door. I would recommend this place to anyone... unless I didn't like them, and...More

We recently stayed at The Aspen Meadows Resort. We read a bit about the property and were interested in the mid century architecture and design by Herbert Bayer. We were completely stunned at the beauty of this property and the surrounding area. The hotel rooms...More
If you are doing a program at the Aspen Institute, this is an ideal location, as the talks and seminars are on the resort grounds. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, although perhaps a bit post-modern and dorm like. The staff is super-helpful.

Hello Jane; The Aspen Meadows provides 24 hour shuttle service on a loop through downtown Aspen, with departures every 30 minutes and stops at the Ruby Park transportation center, the Aspen Gondola Plaza, and the Hotel Jerome on main street. If the FIS Mogul Competition is at Highlands, the two options are to ride the shuttle to Ruby Park and take the Hightlands Shuttle from there, or to exit our shuttle at 7th street and get on the Highlands shuttle at the 8th Street stop. Pretty easy once you get the hang of it!
Note - Aspen/Snowmass provides free bus service to all four ski resorts. It is easy to get around Aspen without a car!

The Aspen Meadows Resort is roughly 1 mile away from downtown. We have complimentary shuttles that leave here by request every half hour. It is a 5 minute shuttle ride. Over the dates you requested we have no scheduled construction of any kind.
The closest Airport to our hotel is ASE (Aspen Pitkin County) and we also provide complimentary airport pickups should you choose to book with us. As for altitude sickness, this affects everyone differently but the key to getting over it is aspirin and staying hydrated. You can do a lot to prevent it by making sure you are extra hydrated prior to flying in. Start chugging water a week prior to your trip and don't do anything crazy during your first day at altitude!
We hope to see you soon!
