Tranquility bay is a great place to stay. Only downside is that it's so far away from everything that there aren't many options of things to do. If you are looking for isolation and snorkeling off the beach, come here, but it's not much fun for younger and more active people.

Hello rowenk123 Thanks for taking the time to write. Yes we are indeed away from it all and therein lies the charm. We do have trips through to town if folks wish to go and volleyball and soccer with are always on offer, albeit hot :) Walking or running on the beach is perfectly safe and is done by a...

It has been less than 3 weeks since our trip to Tranquility Bay...and we keep this special place and the time we spent here tucked warmly in our hearts. One of the best trips we've ever taken, Jimmy and I had an Amazing time... It surpassed our exceptions and we will definitely be back! The staff and accommodations, food and...

We were staying approximately 10 miles outside San Pedro on the north side of Ambergris Caye. The Tranquility Bay Resort was about 3-4 miles further north, by golf cart (the path was very rough). Took us about 30-40 minutes to drive it (from our place). The ocean view a little disappointing along the way (massive amount of sargassum seaweed and...

Dear 777sherip Thanks for sharing with the readers about your excursion North to us. It does take a while to get from town via cart. Nearly 1.5 hrs and as you mentioned a very bumpy and trashy road, shame what we as humanity can do. We do try to keep our immediate area clean and we are glad that you...

Before booking our stay at Tranquility Bay Resort, I read the other reviews on Trip Advisor. I noted that some guests complained about the "shabby" beachfront casitas, the piles of sargassum seaweed, and the trash (mostly plastic) washing up on the coastline north of the resort. Those criticisms turned all out to be true and, even so, I give this...

Dear Megan H Thanks so much for taking time out to give our readers such an in depth break down :) Having you write insightful and to the point description encapsulates who we are :) Thank you. I do agree with the choice of the location, but then again I live here so may be a little biased :) The...

Just spent a week here with my wife and our 12 year old son. The location is remote but the resort picks you up in San Pedro by boat and takes you along the coastline for about 35 minutes. There are only 11 individual air conditioned cabanas so the experience is very personal - the meals, fishing, snorkeling, kayaking and...

We specifically chose this resort for its snorkeling and the isolation. It is truly beautiful, and while it's not as isolated as we expected (some golf carts/ATVs going by on the weekend, and a few fishing boats in the bay), it's still as quiet as it gets. We like the intimacy of a small resort, getting acquainted with the other...

Dear Midgeo Thanks so much for sharing such an indepth review for our readers. I am just glad that you enjoyed the warmth of Belize and our surrounding. The points you made are valid indeed, about the depth or lack thereof and the currents, we are very subject to the weather here in Belize. The wind plays a factor and...

My wife and I spent 6 nights and 5 full days at this wonderful resort in January of 2017. We found our cabana to be clean and comfortable and the beach area was well-maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I'm still here and leave tomorrow. In a resort, I want value, convenience, quiet (aka relaxing) and access to good snorkeling and good food. So location really matters. First, the snorkeling is excellent. Within 100 feet of the shore is a small reef but a long swim out to huge reef where I saw many...
