We loved Pur. When I booked originally there was only one room option with plunge pool (Eagle Ray). They then added some additional rooms with this option. I’d recommend booking one of the regular plunge rooms as Eagle Ray can be a bit loud with the sounds of the roads and pool right outside the patio area (especially during happy hour). The staff and taco bar are amazing (the ceviche was the best we tried after a full week on the island). They set up a really special anniversary room decoration for us and were so lovely to talk to. The rooms are really nice and have a mini fridge, fresh drinking water available at the bar (with a carafe to fill up in the room), consistent hot water and pressure, and they also had some communal sunscreen and bug spray which we definitely utilized. We booked three tours with them as well and they were great about coordinating the details. The resort especially outside happy hour is very quiet and laid back. We had the pool to ourselves for several days. The Truck Stop is a short walk away and absolutely worth a visit. Also, they will drive you to the sister resort at Bella Vista. Their restaurant Aji is amazing (totally affordable with 10% off as a Pur guest—if you are celebrating anything at all, ask if they can set you up a special table; there is no cost and it is a gorgeous experience on the beach) and you can also rent completely kayak and can tether to a buoy and snorkel in the reef! I recommend doing a paid tour to at least Hol Chan, but kayaking and exploring on your own is almost as amazing, and free! Bella Vista is not adults only, so for that, staying at Pur and utilizing Bella Vista’s amenities was perfect. And you can save yourself some golf cart rental cost knowing they will transport you between the two. Highly, highly recommend this property and staff. Thank you all!

PUR is awesome! The entire resort is top-notch from the staff and suites to the grounds!
Upon arrival, it is easy to see that this place is expertly taken care of. From the cleanliness and intimate setting of the property to the abundant plants and trees that are well-groomed and absolutely beautiful we knew PUR was our spot! It is like its own little oasis just on the outside of the hustle and bustle of San Pedro.
We arrived a few hours early and thought we would drop off our bags. Turns out the guests in our suite had already left so Minerva told us they would get on turning the room over right away. While we waited, we were even given a welcome drink. So cool. We ended up checking in over two hours early (this is usually only available if given plenty of notice). So awesome and unexpected!
Once inside our suite (Kinkajou), we found an amazing welcome decoration made from towels and little pieces of plants. This was so cool and thoughtful! The room had plenty of space for the both of us and our luggage. The en-suite bathroom is fully tiled with a walk-in shower and has a large mirror. There were some supplied small toiletries and body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Our room had a small, private plunge pool also. It is surrounded by a privacy fence on all sides and a really cool tree that shades the whole area above the pool with large branches and leaves. It was the perfect place to hang out and cool down after being out and about all day.
Although we didn't end up eating dinner at the restaurant on site, we did enjoy breakfast here and it was great. There is plenty of seating in the shade and also little patio tables out by the pool with umbrellas.
Enough about the facility let's get to where this place really shines. The Staff! The staff here are the true gems of this place. They are all so welcoming and nice. They also have a plethora of knowledge about the island and offer any suggestions and advice they may have. They are very attentive to the guests here and if you need anything they are right on it. Special shout out to Minerva, Flower, Javier, and Ryan!

We absolutely loved PUR and there is nothing more welcoming than an entire staff who knows you by name. They can recommend you absolutely anything and the place is beautiful.
We ate lunch at PUR almost everyday, enjoyed hours in the pool, used our plunge pool each night, slept well, and loved our massages (also affordable!). We had no issue with the location and we could have easily walked to plenty to do for 3-4 days, but we chose to get a golf cart to explore even more of the island.
I could go on and on about our stay, but it's easiest to just summarize it as the best vacation we've had, thanks to PUR.
Also, we read many comments about the hotel pool being open to the public. We actually loved this and made new friends daily. I will say, if you're in the first two rooms, you may feel a lack of privacy, although you can close the blinds. If you'd like to have the blinds open while still feeling private, call and find out which of the 4 rooms are towards the back. There are only 6 total!

We spent four nights at PUR to close out our first trip to Belize and it was everything we could have asked for. The location just north of San Pedro and South of Secret Beach made everything easy to get to, the grounds and cabanas were immaculate, and most importantly the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.
As there are only six cabanas on the property there were often nearly as many people working as there were guests. If you are like us your main point of contact will likely be the bartenders and they are in a league of their own. San Pedro is full of great bars but the effort from Nelson, James, Lucy and the rest of the team to get to know all the guests and offer truly personal service was super appreciated. By the end of our second day we stopped ordering specific drinks and just had them make us whatever they thought we might like, and they hit it out of the park every time. The pours were generous and prices were very reasonable for what we were getting.
Being able to chill in the pool and get drinks at the swim up bar was a perfect way to end a few of our days. They also have a kitchen that punches above its weight for how small the place is overall. The fryjacks were the best we had during our trip, and I loved the tortillas they used for the breakfast tacos. Having the kitchen available from 730am to 9pm was a great option for when we felt like staying in for a meal. The bar remaines open til 10 but then shuts down pretty promptly out of respect for the neighbors in the adjacent residential areas.
We had already arranged most of our activities before we arrived but PUR is also happy to set up snorkel trips, spa treatments, mainland tours, and the like. The one extra we did take them up on was a golf cart rental which makes a huge difference in being able to get around the island and maintain the freedom to go wherever, whenever. There was an issue with the cart rental company and the toll bridge in town which led to us having to pay the toll on two of our days when it should have been free, but the staff quickly apologized and credited the cost of the toll to our account balance.
All in all this is one of our favorite places we have ever stayed and we'd be hard pressed not to just book our entire stay here on our next trip to Belize!

What the other reviews say about the staff is TRUE. We were picked up by Ryan (so sweet) in a golf cart in San Pedro for a ride to the resort. Upon arrival, we felt very welcome by everyone. Welcome rum punch was a nice touch. It was a Saturday afternoon when we arrived and I was also given a shot of blue deliciousness (women get a free shot every hour during happy hour on Sat) when we were checking in. Minerva, Pedro, David, Eniyel, Marlin, Lucy ♡, Javier, Manner, Flora & Ryan. They are all wonderful & they remembered our names from the first day...made us feel like VIP's ;). This was our first time to Belize and we found the people there very friendly. I only saw one crock, many sting rays, lots of palm trees, birds and lush greenery. We also rented golf carts through the resort, recommend. Our cabana was a little tight with our luggage, but it had a nice sized bathroom, a small fridge, a safe, AC & bathrobes. We brought surge protectors for our phones when charging in case of a storm. Baby oil and bug spray! Everyday after my shower, I put on the baby oil on my legs to my feet & a little on my arms (the sand flies shouldn't get through it)...then followed by the bug spray. I hardly got bit by anything...our friends legs looked like they had chickenpox. Oh, try the banana pancakes & bacon wrapped shrimp, they were delicious! The food here is good...the service even better.

What a beautiful boutique hotel! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The cabana was beautifully appointed and we enjoyed the very effective air conditioning and the spacious accommodations and ensuite bathroom. The room was clean and made up daily. Filtered water was available at the bar since we're not meant to drink the tap water. Delicious food and drinks from the onsite restaurant. We loved the pool and swim-up bar. There were quite a lot of mosquitos in the evening but they offered insect repellant and put out mosquito coils at night to help keep them at bay.
Communications with the staff prior to our arrival was helpful in arranging a transfer from the ferry terminal to the hotel. However, we found the automated messages to be annoying as they continually asked for the same information, even though we had previously provided it. We were asked to fill out guest forms online prior to arrival, but we still had to fill them out again because they had apparently expired. Suggest not offering guests an opportunity to fill out forms in advance if they're going to expire by the time guests arrive.
We also didn't have any hot water for our shower during out entire stay. Even though we informed staff of the issues, they weren't able to fix it before we left. Thank goodness it was so hot outside, we didn't mind the cold showers as much.
Even with the hot water issue, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend giving PUR Boutique Cabanas a try

Our stay at PUR Boutique Cabanas was absolutely amazing! The staff really went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Pablo picked us up from the water taxi upon arrival and with his sense of humor, you could just tell the rest of the staff would be great! Once we arrived at PUR, it was nice to see our names on their little chalkboard for the Cabana guests. It makes it a little more personalized! Check in was quick and seamless. We arrived a little early, so just had a quick drink at the bar while we waited. Our cabana was wonderful! We stayed in Kinkajou, which came with a small plunge pool. We would've liked to use it more, but unfortunately, our weather wasn't the best most days so it was just a little too chilly. Our room was decorated for my husbands 50th birthday upon check in, which was a nice surprise for him. We spent a little bit of time each day at the bar, whether it was for breakfast, or to have a drink at the end of day. The staff really treat you like you are old friends. Minerva, Pablo, Marlon, Lucy, Javier, & Flora are all wonderful! The food was amazing each time we ate there, and they even cooked us some snapper we caught on our fishing trip and brought back with us. We really liked the location, being close enough to downtown but far enough that you were away from the noise and people. Secret Beach is a quick golf cart ride away. And there is a number of bars and restaurants in the area, you don't have to travel far! Overall, our first stay in San Pedro was just that much better with our stay at PUR. We will most definitely be coming back!

Beautiful facility in a quiet, low key location. Our suite was spacious, and very comfortable. Although my husband and I have and love children, it was nice to be in an adult only atmosphere to enjoy the pool and relax in the serene area. This location isn’t on the beach, but you are allowed to use paddle boards and kayaks at one of purs sister sites just down the road.
Pur staff will pick you up from the water taxi or airport and give you a ride back. But I suggest you get a golf cart so you can go to secret beach, or back into town for dinner if you choose.
Try the tacos when you are there. They make the corn tortillas right on site. The bar staff makes some great drinks too.

The room was clean and nicely decorated but needed some area rugs on the unfinished concrete floor. There was no microwave oven, no hairdryer, no hot water for the lavatory and no ice in the small fridge. Internet was spotty and there are no over-air or cable channels but you can log into Amazon Prime or Netflix if you're a subscriber. There was a Keurig style coffee maker but there were only two coffee pods and no creamer, sweetener or spoon for stirring. A staff member promised to have it delivered but after 4 hours of waiting, I had to return back to the office to remind them of the request. No explanation was offered about the delay. We placed an order for grilled lobster, shrimp kabobs and pork ribs about 3:00 pm with a reserved pickup time of 6:30-7:00. When we arrived at 7:00, we were told that the lobster wasn't available and we received half portions of the shrimp and ribs yet still paid full price. The food taste was very good but the quantity was greatly lacking. No one offered an explanation for the snafu, just a laugh and smile.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and assisted us in booking a fishing/snorkeling trip and a spa experience. Bottled drinking water was furnished on request.The bar staff were efficient and friendly and the bar food was good and reasonably priced for the portions.
Nelson,Manners, and Minerva were friendly and called you by name and Ina was over the top in congeniality. I wish the service failures had been resolved quickly and would not have negatively tempered my opinion of the place. After today's experience, I decided not to eat anything else on site but instead walk to several nearby restaurants
In conclusion, contact the staff well in advance of your stay to ensure your expectations can be met.

This was our second stay at PUR and just like the first time we did not want to leave!
Service: Outstanding! Flor, Lucy, Minerva, Ina, Javier and Nelson provided excellent personalized service. Always ask for their recommendations, this is how to find some of the best spots! Minerva gave us an incredible recommendation for Maya and Viv’s snorkeling tour. Nelson also made a special drink for me with gin, coconut cream, lime juice, ginger, and soda water, I’m still thinking about it!😋
Cabanas: Clean, comfy beds, great showers and closets!
Location: Great proximity to town, also a reasonable distance to Secret Beach! Golf carts can be rented for a very reasonable price.

Mosquitos are generally not bad in January. However, we live in a tropical climate, so no mosquitos is not guaranteed. The property does have bug spray readily available and they maintenance and staff take steps to get rid of mosquitos around the property.
We found the cabana to be very quiet. Everything shuts down around 10 or 11:00 at night. The restaurant opens for orders at 7:30 in the morning, but we aren't late sleepers. When the shades are closed you have complete privacy.

There is access to the beach but it’s not a place to rent chairs and have beach service. Bc Belize is a reef there is often sea grass on that side of the island. To swim on that side you’re better off swimming off the dock at Palapa Bar or somewhere similar.
The best beach is either Secret Beach or Koko King on Caye Caulker! You’ll love it there but it’s not a sit on a sandy beach in beach chairs kinda place. Hope that helps
