Coco Beach Resort garners praise for its immaculate cleanliness and an array of amenities, including multiple pools and well-equipped kitchens, contributing to a comfortable stay. While the serene atmosphere is a highlight, the sound of live music might intrude upon the tranquility for some. Guests appreciate the dedicated staff and the tidy, well-furnished rooms, although opinions on value are mixed, with several travelers considering the resort's prices steep for the food, drinks, and services offered.

This resort is IMMACULATE! The beds are seriously the most comfortable beds I have ever had in a hotel (much better than home). The property is stunning. The water around the swim up bar is heated and completely shaded. There are 2 pools that are gorgeous and a HOT TUB (a real hot tub unlike in Mexico-where they are usually not really heated). Only down side, the food was just average in my option - and very expensive for Belize. The resort is 25 mins from town and a taxi is $25 USD each way. We were lucky that I booked our snorkel trips with a company that came to pick us up at the hotel dock which saved us money. There is only one place to eat within walking distance (other than the hotel restaurant which is very pretty inside) and it is just picnic tables outside. (The room has a microwave and mini fridge for food.) We did not rent a golf cart because they were expensive and to me not worth the hassle. I would stay here again though just to have the beautiful grounds and pool to enjoy!

My standards are extremely high - Coco Beach met them. From flawless sparkel clean room to fantastic location (just far enough from downtown for an awesome golf cart ride). The staff was incredible and made us feel welcome and special. It felt authentic and genuine. The food could have been a bit better, but there are many options so close by.... including the Tipsy Lobster which was also exceptional. Everything was well worth the cost. We went as a group of 13 (ranging mid 30s to mid 60s) to celebrate several things and Coco Beach was the absolute best choice (we evaluated several other countries and resorts.)

Our group of 12 stayed 7 beautiful nights at Coco Beach and loved it. Our luxury hotel room was clean and beautiful and balcony was a peaceful place to hang out. They provide each room with unlimited fresh drinking water, but the desalinated tap water was fine for showering and brushing teeth. It didn’t have a bad taste in my opinion. All the food in Cocoblanca restaurant was great, and we enjoyed trying Tipsy Lobster and Sol Café across the road. The grounds were maintained beautifully at the resort.
Favorite adventures were all the snorkeling trips! We enjoyed all of them. I highly recommend EVERYONE wear a life vest around your waist while snorkeling – it protects the coral directly below you, and lets you relax, float and enjoy the marine life, and if you get saltwater in your mask it holds you up while you adjust the mask. Someone in our group did not have a life preserver and struggled so much that he broke all the coral below him with his fins. Wear the preserver. If you take the kayaks from the resort to snorkel the reef, wear the preserver and be aware of the current which can be strong- don't wander too far from where you tie off on the buoy.
Can’t say enough good things about the staff of Coco Beach. The concierges Chelsea and Rochellee were extremely kind, helpful&patient and answered all of my email questions before we arrived. They booked our Maya Island Air flights and arranged transfer from the airports, and booked our snorkeling trips. They do an exceptional job!! It was helpful to use the resort shuttle ride to/from San Pedro so we could talk with the awesome drivers, including Abner, and get a feel for San Pedro. We rented golf carts from the resort a couple times for trips to San Pedro and secret beach, and we would do that again. It doesn’t save much time or money to rent elsewhere if you only have it for some day trips.
All of the staff were great! Shout out to Alfonso, Lotion, and Ronan who worked so hard to keep the food and drinks flowing. We appreciate you! There were many other great staff but I didn’t catch all the names. Thank you to all of you. We would come back to Coco Beach if we return to Ambergris Caye! Only bad thing to mention is that our air conditioning unit was very loud and we didn’t realize that most other rooms were quieter than ours. I would ask for someone to look at our AC.

This was our 3rd stay at Coco Beach, 5th time staying in San Pedro. Best resort on the island, hands down! The staff members are all kind and make it a point to greet you. The pool and beach area are nice and relaxing. The pool bar has good food and drinks. They make delicious pizza at the hotel, order a large pie.

Chris, the manager, is phenomenal and the front desk staff compliment everything great about this hotel. The maintenance workers work nonstop to upkeep the property and keep it feeling like an oasis.

Just as a reference, we've stayed at Matachica and at Las Terrazas a few years ago, and Coco Beach is still our preferred place to stay.

Also, the beds are very comfortable, bath towels are soft and smell very nice. If you get a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom suite, you have the comfort of a full size refrigerator, stove, toaster oven, and a living room with a TV.

Golf cart drive into town is usually 20-30 minutes depending on the traffic. But it's a nice ride, you're on an island, have a nice time and enjoy the ride. Take a ride into town and do some water activities with the best dive shop on the island Belize Pro Dive Center.

Since Coco Beach is located 3.5 miles north of town, it's convenient to reach Secret Beach in about 30-40 minutes.

We met up with several friends (4 to 5 rooms booked) this trip around November 11th, and everyone raved about how nice their rooms were.

We are coming back next year! (The Ozorio Family)

Our stay at Coco Beach Resort was nothing short of magical, and much of that magic came from the incredible staff and the beautiful amenities. Wayne and Alfonzo at the beach bar and restaurant were the absolute best—always cheerful, attentive, and ready to make our dining experience delightful. The entire staff was pleasant, contributing to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the resort.

A special shout-out to Josue, who was a lifesaver when my husband lost his license in the parking area. He also took exceptional care of my elderly parents, ensuring all their needs were met with kindness and efficiency.

The rooms were consistently clean and comfortable, thanks to the diligent housekeeping team. The maintenance and landscaping staff worked tirelessly to keep the property in pristine condition, and the friendly security team ensured we felt safe and well-cared for throughout our stay.

The pools at Coco Beach Resort are a true highlight. With separate areas furnished with two loungers, we always felt like we had our own private oasis. The rock structure featuring a slide and jumps was a hit with my teenagers and younger kids alike. Additionally, the variety of games, including corn hole, ping pong, life-size chess, and the 'hook and ring' game, kept everyone entertained.

Our experience at Sparadise Spa was wonderful and relaxing, offering the perfect retreat within the resort. The entire staff always had a smile and took the time to chat with us, making us feel like cherished guests.

Rochelle in concierge was amazing, helping us set up excursions and restaurant reservations effortlessly. Her expertise and friendly demeanor made planning our activities a breeze.

Coco Beach Resort truly offers a slice of paradise with exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and endless fun for the whole family. We can't wait to return!

We were there from 12/8 through 12/19 and I can't say enough how amazing of an experience we had at this resort! In fact, it was so good that we actually cancelled the last 5 days of our vacation that we were planning to stay in Placencia and just continued our entire stay in Belize at Coco Beach. The resort itself is absolutely stunning and so well maintained, we saw the staff every morning while having my coffee on the gorgeous balcony removing the seaweed that washes up in the beach area and even someone that rakes the sand throughout the resort so it makes you feel like you are walking in a zen garden! Originally, we had reserved a regular hotel room and when we checked in on our first night our front desk host noted that our AC unit was making some noise and immediately called us when she went back to see if we wanted to have someone come in and check the unit. We were tired from travelling and it honestly didn't bother us so told them they could just check on it tomorrow. The next day, when we got back from an excursion, they ended upgrading us to a 2 bedroom suite with glorious ocean views for the "inconvenience!". We weren't even close to inconvenienced but they went above and beyond. The front desk staff always checked on us and if we even made a random comment, they would note it and follow up with a phone call! They overheard us talking about how we couldn't figure out how to turn on the TV and they literally called us and sent someone over to show us!! Shout out to Esme, Yanissa, and Yourjely at the front desk for everything. The pools were absolutely wonderful and loved the pool bar and a huge shout out to Ricky who took such good care of us every single night. So much so that we went one day he was off and we were actually a little sad not seeing his smiling face at the bar. I know I can't capture everything but hope I at least conveyed to any other travelers considering this hotel-do it and you will not regret it! It is unbeliezeable!!!

We recently visited San Pedro over Christmas vacation. We stayed at Coco Beach and were not disappointed. The resort was beautiful, clean and the staff was extremely helpful. They reached out prior to the trip to make sure we had our airport transfers from Belize City to San Pedro, and scheduled a round trip shuttle service from San Pedro to the resort. They booked our golf cart for the week and any tours we wanted to go on. They were in constant communication on WhatsApp and replied quickly.

We stayed in a 2 room pool view suite which provided plenty of space, fresh drinking water and full kitchen. They cleaned the room every 2 days and we were never left wanting. We ate at the restaurant on-site (my daughter's favorite meal of the trip) and ate at the bar several times during our stay. The staff always remembered us and were very helpful in answering questions about the local area. The pools were extremely clean and perfect temperature.

The best part about our trip is that we were delayed one day due to flight cancellations on Christmas Eve. Instead of losing an entire day of our trip, United booked us to leave a day after we were supposed to. When I reached out to the resort to see if we could continue to stay there the extra day, they had no issues in making up for the lost day and let us stay in our original room. We were even able to extend our golf cart, no questions asked and at no charge.

During out stay we traveled to the town of San Pedro most every day. This was about a 15-20 minute by golf cart. Along the way to town you can stop at various restaurants/resorts to eat or have a drink and listen to live music. Some of our favorites were Garage, the Truck Stop and the Dive Bar (303). The town of San Pedro was quaint and full of restaurants and little authentic shops. We definitely left wanting to try at least 20 more restaurants. We were not able to get in to Elvi's, but tried Maxie's which was a sister restaurant - the food was amazing. We loved the pasta at Blue Water Grill.

During our trip we were able to complete our Scuba certification with Ambergris Divers in San Pedro. The staff there was amazing and Felicito Castellanos was our instructor. I have a teenage daughter and our safety was definitely our top priority. He was extremely professional and we couldn't have asked for a more experienced, safety conscious guide. It was hands down the best experience for our family. I would definitely recommend this dive shop for experienced scuba divers or those wanting to get certified! We saw so many amazing things and were able to complete 5 dives.

We have absolutely no complaints about our trip overall, We will definitely be going back and we will most certainly stay at Coco Beach again. Perfect vacation, thank you to all of the staff at Coco Beach!

My wife and I stayed in a Seaview 2-Bedroom Villa. The resort checked every box for me. The room was large, quiet, clean and comfortable. We bought some groceries from the market down the street and cooked a few of our own meals in the well-equipped kitchen (enjoying our meal on our balcony patio overlooking the sea). The staff was friendly and accommodating from our first interactions with the front desk, to the pool bar. The food and drinks are good, and we had no trouble getting a table or lounge chairs near the pool.

Highly recommend renting a golf cart (which they can do at the resort) since the it is a few miles north of San Pedro. My wife also recommends the resort's spa, saying they gave the best massage she's ever had. I also highly recommend breakfast at Tres Cocos (a mile or so south of the resort) and a lunch/dinner at Elvi's Restaurant in town (though all of our meals on the island were good).

Overall, fantastic resort that made our first trip to Belize exceptional. Would 100% stay here again on our next visit.

It was our first time to Belize and we loved it. The resort was quiet with very nice staff. The pools are very well taken care of, and the food/drinks at the resort are pretty good. We rented a golf cart for the week and the staff members took very good care of those as well. I definitely suggest renting a golf cart because that is how most people get around and it’s hard to get most places without it. The tap water is not drinkable on the island, but we were provided with filtered water by the hotel. We stayed in room A5 and it was beautiful with an ocean view. The room was huge and easily fit our family of 5. The wifi is very spotty, but that didn’t really matter to me because it was a good opportunity to disconnect from my phone for the week. There are so many good food places on the island, and everyone is very nice there. Everywhere we went, the employees were so hardworking and wanted to make sure we had a good experience. Unfortunately, one of the people I was staying with is very negative and left a critical review (Christian N.) but I can assure you, the vacation was a lot better than he made it seem. Only he could be so critical and complain about a relaxing vacation on a tropical island… Anyway, some places I would recommend going to are PUR (18+ swim up bar and food place) which has amazing food with very large portions, Tres Cocos (breakfast), Secret Beach (a little touristy but the water is clear and swimmable), Marbucks (coffee and breakfast), and definitely Sol Cafe which we went to everyday for great coffee. If you want fresh coconut water in a coconut, I definitely recommend stopping by a stand called “Coco Boys” (I think) because the man is very, very kind and he would say hello to us everyday when we passed him. Also, we spent a day fishing and snorkeling with sharks with a man named “Johnny Boy.” He took amazing care of us and at the end, he took us to a private beach and cooked us an amazing homemade meal from the fish we caught (100% recommend using him if you want an amazing boating experience). Most of the locals are so inviting and wave/smile as you pass them. Overall, I would 100% come back to Belize and Coco Beach Resort, mostly because of the very kind staff and people on the island.

CocoBeach – we stayed here for 4 nights on vacation, and it was a pleasant experience overall. On the plus side the resort is very beautiful with 2 swimming pools and charming architecture. We had the 2-bedroom condo overlooking the ocean and smaller pool. Another plus was that the service was very good, with friendly responsive people at the front desk, bar and restaurant. By the end of the trip, we also came to realize that the restaurant was one of the best we visited with comparable prices to being in town. We were there during lobster season and had the grilled lobster one evening for only $40 Belize ($20 American)- excellent. The 2 for one happy hour every afternoon was also nice.

On the con side, no one warned us about the very bad smell of the ocean in the summer due to the rotting sea grass. It smelled like sulfur sewage, and there was no way you could go in the scary looking brown water. We were grateful we didn’t stay at one of the beach front condos, but even so the smell permeated the resort. When you are paying luxury prices, you just don’t expect this. The smell wasn’t as bad in the town of the San Pedro.

Another con was that there was no dishwasher in the condo, and the water pressure in the showers was almost non-existent. Many times we only had a small trickle of water. Again, for luxury prices, you expect more. Due to Covid there was no cleaning service in our room, and without a dishwasher we had to do all of our own dishes. Prices should have been reduced if they weren’t going to clean the rooms every day. We could have stayed at Carib down the road for 1/3 of the price we paid to stay here.

Finally, the resort is situated 3 miles or 15 minutes from the town of San Pedro, and the golf carts cost $26 for 2 hours. This adds up quite quickly on your bill. Something to consider.

Our favorite things to do while visiting: Snorkeling tour – don’t miss this! The evening food tour in San Pedro was totally worth the price, and the beautiful clear turquoise water at Secret Beach almost made up for the ugly smelling brown ocean water in front of the resort.
