My buddies and I stayed for a mini staycation and to experience the Super Blue Moon. The property is gorgeous and with the newly built shelter it provides necessary shade. The rooms were very clean, organized and stocked with thoughtful essentials. I totally appreciate the fine quality comfortable mattress, pillows and bedding. We were recommended to try the AWARD winning pizza and infused margaritas which were bursting with flavours. At sundown the lights twinkled around the shelter and the beach firepit (propane) was lit for us. The moon was simply spectacular and all our incredible pictures will always be our favourites. ***Another very important note - I never had one mosquito bite or sandfly bite all night. The beach is clean everyday of sargassum or rubbish. The staff and owners made our staycation super fun!! Thank you all.

The resort offers so many activities and a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy Belize and a peaceful romantic getaway in paradise The rooms are beautiful well-maintained and the hosts were so accommodating to our every need. The drinks were excellent and well priced and large no skimping there. The staff was friendly courteous and quick There were kayaks and a great beach only 400 yards from the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world. Snorkeling was excellent and water depth to see all the wonderful sea life was never over 15 ft inside the reef. It was safe and visibility over 100 ft. Dive or snorkeling tours would come right to the resort to pick you up and a great price compared to stateside equivalents with so much better seascapes. Fishing was great and lots of fun. Yoga was taught on the beach with great instructor even if you were a beginner. Paddle boarding and a nice pool to cool off Many options for entertainment on the island and the catamaran tour was great we spent movie night there and got to meet a lot of ex-pats and having an outdoor movie on the beach under the moonlight was awesome with free popcorn great pizza and wonderful drinks you can’t imagine what it’s like to watch a movie like that in a golf cart or a lounge chair on the beach until you’ve experienced it I highly recommend this for anyone coming to Belize San Pedro area and a great value. The owners are wonderful people who are always out checking to make sure you have a wonderful time. you can’t go wrong with this place we will be coming back many times 👍👍👍👍😎🎣🏊♀️🚣♀️🏝

We loved Belize and our entire trip. The owners (Jennifer and Justin) met us at MK Rentals to pick up our golf cart upon arrival in San Pedro. They guided us through town and to get groceries for our cabin. Once we got to our cabin, it was perfect. It was very modern, clean, and fully equipped. The grounds were kept nice and clean. The owners and staff were so helpful and kind. One morning, I left my charger in Belize City and my phone was dead. The grounds keeper was kind enough to let us borrow his charger till we could go into town to get a new one. We managed to buy a charger and an adapter in town, but the adapter was not conducive with the cord. To make a long story short, Jennifer was kind enough to lend us her phone charger during our stay. It was a perfect vacation, and we will be back. Also, there is a very sweet dog named Stinker that hangs out during the day, and she loves Moon Bar pizza crust.

I was a little confused if I was going to a hotel or an Airbnb. It’s actually the best of both.
Like an Airbnb, we had a great one bedroom apartment facing the beach, with full kitchen. And I do mean beach, as unlike the most of San Pedro, there is a small sandy beach here. We also had the things usually missing from an Airbnb:
Activities. There are paddleboards and kayaks for free right on the beach. The Moon Bar has beach and bar games like Cornhole. The dive shop is a few minutes up the beach.
Bar: The Moon Bar is one of my favorite bars ever. Right on the beach, friendliest staff ever, and a great mix of visitors and expats. It’s right out of a Kenny Chesney or Jimmy Buffet song. And don’t worry, it closes around 9 so it does not create noise when you want to sleep.
Concierge/Advice: The owners are on site and super helpful.
Restaurant. In addition to Moon Bar pizza, there is a hotel with a full service restaurant a few minutes down the beach.

We stayed here for 3 days at Moon Villa. All the furniture looks new, it smells nice inside, everything as described on the description + there some perks and 10% discounts with local shop/diving center which owners will list to you. The owners are sweet people. Thai Lobster Pizza is a must try food at the bar there, super unique and cool and Ice Mohito cocktail 🫶. Stuff is super friendly, and provides great service. They clean territory every morning so the beach looks great, especially comparing to other places in San Pedro. You will not regret a single day spent there!

My husband and I just returned from a 7 night stay at Mangata Villas. It is exactly what we needed! The location in the north was remote enough to be out of the hustle and bustle but near enough to a few restaurants etc that we had options. Their on-site beach bar/pizzeria is perfect and run by Rody, who knows how to take care of you. I loved having a kitchen in our villa for some snacks and an easy breakfast, but the Moon Bar was perfect for ordering whichever drink I was in the mood for and the pizzas were excellent. The staff keeps the beach and the grounds very clean. Mangata's owners and staff have found the perfect balance of friendly and available but not intrusive. Their recommendations for golf cart rental (it's a thing on the island) and excursions were spot on. Justin and Jennifer, the owners, have a great vision for Mangata that seems to maintain the important things but bring in some great additions. We cannot wait to go back.

Beyond grateful for the time we spent at Mangata Villas! We just arrived home from a 10 day stay at this quaint, beautiful, quiet resort and are already planning a trip back. Serena and Aaron went way above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Our flight arrived late in Belize City so we would have missed our flight to San Pedro. Without hesitation Serena re-booked our flight so when we landed in Belize City we simply went through customs and were up in the air on route to San Pedro. Serena and Aaron met us at the airport with our golf cart rental (huge help!) and took our luggage to the resort for us. They stopped at a grocery store with us and even came in to point out some island must haves. They booked a catamaran tour for us, booked our beach massages, arranged a private fishing trip, recommended restaurants, had fresh towels and additional toiletries to us whenever we requested them and then assisted us with our luggage back to the airport at the end of our trip. Our trip was smoother, stress free and more enjoyable because of these 2. Our casita that we stayed in was perfect - beautiful shower, large double vanity, comfortable bed, efficient A/C and great to have a full kitchen. They have beer, coffee, rum and coke stocked in the rooms for purchase which also made our trips to the store less frequent! The pool is beautiful, the beach very well kept, you can't help but love the ocean view and for guest use they have kayaks, paddle boards & pool floaties that are all in great shape. We loved the location being just steps to the Portofino Resort for drinks and dinner and a short golf cart ride away to Secret Beach and other restaurants and bars. Nice to be close to these amenities so that you don't always have to go into San Pedro. Without hesitation if you are looking for a quiet, laid back resort with the most helpful hosts you can ask for .... you MUST stay here. Thank you Serena, Aaron and Mangata Villas for making our first trip to Ambergris Caye amazing!

This resort is absolutely amazing! We loved every minute of it, even the rainy days were enjoyable and relaxing. We spent a lot of time walking along the beaches, kayaking, laying in the sun, and of course, drinking and eating pizza. Lol I would highly recommend, renting a golf cart and perusing the island. Secret beach was not far away, and a great place to people, watch, and of course drink. I highly recommend this vacation destination. With only five units, you’re not going to feel crowded at all. Friday night movie night was hilarious! Lots of people and camaraderie.

We stayed at Mangata Villas for a week in November in a beachfront villa. Absolutely beautiful resort, stunning rooms! Our family and friends stayed in the 3 casitas and we enjoyed our trip SO much we are looking at purchasing real estate on the island. Moon Bar is right on the beach and I loved the pina coladas and fungi pizza. YUM!! The beach and grounds are impeccable and it’s far enough from town to be peaceful and relaxing but close enough that it’s no trouble to drive into town for dinner at night. We had the BEST couples massage on the beach! The awesome hosts arranged a really fun snorkeling tour for us and recommended the best places to eat! The hosts arranged our golf cart rental (you will love exploring the island on the golf cart). We really enjoyed movie night on the beach every Friday as well. The hosts arranged our covid tests which was super helpful and the test was done in our room. We will definitely be back!!! Don’t hesitate to book here! It is adults only which we really appreciated. Cannot wait to come back!!!!

I would highly recommend staying at Mangata. I stayed in a casita and enjoyed the privacy and kitchenette where I could make my own breakfast. As other reviewers have said, the owners take great care in treating their guests and made every detail of the trip go smoothly. You can’t beat the ocean view, and we had fun taking the paddle boards out. The pizza at moon bar was delicious. It’s a nice quiet location that’s about a 20-30 minute golf cart ride to town, though there are many restaurant options closer than that along the way. Definitely put Mangata on your list!!
