I can't say enough good things about Sapphire Beach resort. The staff are amazing; helpful and friendly and communicative. You aren't just a rando person staying at the resort, you're a guest; they know you and want to make sure you have an amazing experience. I was a little unsure about the distance to San Pedro town - it's not insignificant, but it also means a private beach, quiet days and nights, and a peaceful stay. I loved our stay here. Gem restaurant - the closest option - is excellent. Their happy hour specials are absolutely wonderful. They also had special food nights with outdoor dining, live music, super festive drinks, and fabulous food.

A nice boutique like resort far from San Pedro city, between 9 and 10 miles. Pro: 1. Entire staff is super friendly and helpful, from front desk to restaurant to grounds maintenance 2. Front desk will help you setup tours - be mindful they'll set up tours with whom they have partnerships with 3. Cart for rent available onsite, limited, but they'll help you setup golf cart rentals with others 4. AC within the unit worked without issues and it was cold ! 5. Plenty of drinking water available within the room, daily 6. Small but not too small unit 7. Grounds were always being maintained 8. Distance away from San Pedro and most other local areas helps keep it quiet 9. Small kitchen, great for making small dishes Con: 1. Distance from San Pedro means a long golf cart ride to just about anywhere 2. Restaurant meal costs are higher than most restaurants, most items with smaller portions too compared to other restaurants 3. Food taste was both a hit and miss (breakfast, lunch, dinner) 4. Salty water from the faucet taps 5. Visibly saw bowls and pitchers that were placed in cabinets that were still wet - this will create smells and mildew 6. One of the blankets from closet had an odd smell, as if it was placed into the closet while it was still damp…

From beginning to end, ours was an excellent experience. Booking our reservation was a breeze. Greeted with warmth on arrival; check-in was a breeze. The itineraries for our pre-booked excursions were also provided and easy instructions to follow. The excursion companies pick you up right at the pier behind the resort. We stayed in room 18B, which is nicely appointed with a direct water view and very comfortable. Anything we needed was just a WhatsApp message away. Rose is very quick to respond and makes the magic happen. We booked a romantic dinner on the beach, which was beautiful and the food was delicious (in fact, everything we ate from Sapphire’s kitchen, was great). Eric was our server for our romantic dinner and he was pleasant and fast! Tip: on your way in from San Pedro, stop at a grocery store and pick up some items such as anything you’d like to snack on, cook, or drink (other than water). Bring bug spray and plenty of sunblock. Don’t forget a hat & sunglasses. We rented a golf cart to get around, highly recommend. Rosi helped us plan all of our excursions via email ahead of time and all I can say is, WOW! We only stayed for 3 nights, I recommend a longer stay, if you have the time. Enjoy all of the adventures and wonders Belize has to offer!…

We loved staying at this resort on the north end of Ambergris Caye. The accommodations were clean and welcoming, and the staff made the entire stay a total delight. Every experience we had with staff, from security to grounds keepers, was super positive. Rose, the front desk supervisor, went out of her way to help us when we had to reschedule the trip due to a family emergency, and once we were there, she gave us excellent advice and recommendations and helped us book all our excursions. By the time we left, I felt like she’d become a friend, and I was genuinely sad to say Goodbye! We also enjoyed our time at the tiki bar with the friendly bartenders who made us yummy tropical drinks and gave us good tips about where to go at Secret Beach. Although we didn’t love the food at the resort, it was a nice option for days we didn’t want to go into town. Because this resort is so far north of San Pedro, we ended up renting a golf cart. At first we thought it would be a pain to make the 45 minute drive into town and back, but we quickly came to love the drive itself, as it was all part of the adventure of being in a new place. We just returned from a week at the Sapphire Beach Resort. if you want a quiet, restful vacation, look no further. This hits all the marks. We stayed in 12A, only a few short steps to the water. The morning sunrise was breathtaking. The resort is very clean and well kept. If you truly want to get away, Sapphire Beach Resort is the place you want to stay.

We visited Belize and stayed at Sapohire for 5 nights with our family. It is a very nice resort and we'll represented by the pictures on their website. Our room accommodated our family of 5 with a small kitchenette which was nice. The resort is very clean and well maintained. Everyone is very responsive to any needs you have and very helpful in arranging excursions such as snorkeling and trips to see the Mayan ruins. It is quite a ways from other restaurants and resorts so plan on that when needing a meal. The on-site restaurant is quite good. Although my only recommendation is a later night bar menu. When you come back to the resort after a long day it would be great to just have a sandwich or something similar but all they offer is full menu from restaurant. There is plenty of real estate for sale around Sapphire so in about 5 years, they will be in the thick of everything. Would recommend for anyone traveling to Belize.…

I took my family with me on my dream vacation. The place was so nice. We stayed in one of the penthouse suites. It was perfect! It was nice clean and cozy. I loved how private the resort was. I felt safe letting my teen son go out on his his own. The pools were great. We spend a good amount of time at them. We enjoyed the Tiki bar while at the pool as well. The service there was amazing. The staff was amazing. In just our short week stay there the staff new our names and interacted with us as if we were friends or family. They were genuine and really wanted to make sure they were doing everything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The Gem restaurant had great food. We will definitely be back. Rose was so nice to work with as well. All of their staff did so much to make or stay amazing. They booked all of our excursion for us, reserved a golf cart for us and made our trip so much easier. …

Our trip was very relaxing and laid back, thanks to the staff.. Gian the manager was very proficient and helpful at his job. The staff including John, Edwin and Alex were very professional, friendly, and courteous. I would recommend choosing this location for your visit to Belize.

Place was nice, 9 miles from San Pedro, and by renting a golf cart we could get to town in about 40 min. We got a lot of insect bites on our legs, and arms when we were there, even when using OFF purchased when we arrived in San Pedro. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurant was very good.

My husband and I spent a relaxing week on the beach at Sapphire. Everything was perfect! The staff were helpful in assisting us in booking excursions and transportation. We enjoyed several delicious meals and drinks at the Gem Restaurant. Although there were probably 70 people at the resort when we were there, we hardly ever saw another person. The only negative (not for us) is that the resort is 10 miles from San Pedro, so it does take a bit of time traveling (by golf cart) to town. We felt as though we had our very own piece of Paradise!
