Relax in the privacy of your room or explore all the fun of our amenities without worrying about anything but your own delight. For families and groups looking to make their vacation dollars work for them, Belizean Shores offers that home-away-from-home. Our resort features a brilliant pool and bar, an onsite concierge, and one of the island’s highest-rated tour operations right onsite. The Belizean Shores is the best place on the island if you have a golf cart. The room was large with a queen size bed, full kitchen and living room. They have the best pool I have ever seen! It starts like a mock beach and then gradually deepens to 3.5 feet. There are loungers in the pool and on the surrounding deck. You reach a hot tub and the pool splits to flow under a foot bridge to a swim up pool bar. Then the pool deepens to 6.5 feet and becomes an infinity pool toward the ocean. And there is a fountain at the very end. It was amazing! The pool bar served drinks and food. The beach had loungers and really nice tile dock that lead out to more loungers and hammocks. The sand from the beach came up through the walkways leading to the different building. The grounds had basketball, tennis, table tennis, chess, kayaks and paddle-boards all free. Bikes could be rented for $5 per day. You can also rent your golf cart through them and they will gas it up and clean it every night. Or you can rent it by the hour. There were some good places to eat in walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. The water always stayed hot in the shower and the A/C was always crisply cool. They provided a 5 gallon jug of water that was charged out as needed. The bed was comfortable, on the soft side but not enough to bother my back. They provided lots of kitchen utensils, pots and pans but we never cooked. The place is over the bridge from downtown on the north side of the caye. It was nice a quiet for those beach/pool days. We also saw lots of iguanas on the grounds. We truly felt we had the nicest place, totally worth every penny.

We stayed 7 days in 8D and had an outstanding week enjoying the island. Although 8D is one of the units farthest from the ocean, being on the second level we had awesome view of both the pool area and the ocean. The suite was large enough for 4 adults comfortably, it was clean, well appointed and has a large comfortable deck. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They went the extra step by doing little things such as making reservations, providing recommendations, cutting us some coconuts and making use of all the amenities easy and enjoyable. The resort itself is well laid out, the grounds are kept very clean, the pool area is awesome, the dock is large, relaxing and has paddle boards and kayaks, we even spent several hours on the tennis courts playing pickle ball. I highly recommend Belizean Shores and would definitely stay again if we return to Ambergris Caye.

We stayed for one week in a Watwrside Appartement and it was fantastic, bed was very comfortable, very clean and Water-Gallon in the room was replaced as soon as empty…this makes it not only very convinient but also sustainable (avoiding extra plastic bottles which I think is very important in our days). The whole Team was very friendly and helpful (offered snorkel tours are not cheap but worth the price). The transfer from and to the airport was very well organized despite the fact that we arrived with an earlier flight, we didn't have to wait. Bikes were available at the resort, that was great. We really can recommend this resort if you are looking for a relaxing holliday and want to make nice snorkel tours. The only negative thing was that next to the resort, a new resort is being built, thus a big construction area (but no noise during our stay). We would definitely book it again!

The resort is great! We booked a sea view suite which was supposed to have twin beds in the loft. When we arrived at our suite, i noted that there was one full size bed and a sofa sleeper. Having two boys over six feet, we informed the desk of the error. They said they didn’t have any available and offered a rollaway bed. It was the noisiest bed and every time my son moved in bed, everyone heard it. They moved us to a different suite the next day with no issues. There was no maid service and we had to call the office to empty our garbage and freshen our towels when needed.
The pool area and swim-up bar were top notch and was where we stayed most of the time we were on the property. You can order food at the bar from the restaurant at the sister-property two resorts over and the prices were pretty reasonable and the food was excellent! We ordered from and ate at the restaurant several times and each meal was better than any of the off-property meals that we tried.
We were able to arrange for transport to/from the airport with the resort for $15/passenger and we also rented a golf cart with the front desk. Tuff enuff tours is based out of the dock and they offered free kayak and sup rentals with snorkel gear an extra $15. We took a kayak out from the resort, tied it to a buoy and snorkeled and saw a good number of fish. We also booked a snorkel tour for an afternoon which was plenty of time to see hol Chan and shark ray alley.
The only negative is the beach is small and couldn’t really be enjoyed because there was so much seaweed on the shoreline. Not sure if this is seasonal or year round. However the pool area does make up for it.
Our sons made friends with other young adults that stayed there and they hung out at the pool bar on many nights. The pool bar does close at 9pm, but the pool area is always open. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is a small and lovely property where it’s easy to get around and enjoy the amenities. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. So all in all this was a great choice. Having said that, here’s a few things to know: 1. They don’t have their own restaurant on premises so the food is ordered there but delivered from a nearby property. There’s a lovely coffee shop across the street so that’s the best place for breakfast. 2. Some water activities are free but snorkel masks carry a small daily fee. 3. There’s decent WiFi all over but don’t plan on doing video conferences… I found the signal too weak to sustain a video call. 4. The resort shuttle is expensive - you can do better on your own but make sure to also arrange departure pickup - there’s no street cabs or Ubers… And hope you don’t have e rain all day - it does get wet there.

My family and I just spent the last week at Belizean Shores. The resort sits about 3.5 miles North of San Pedro. It is much quieter at this end of the island rather than in town. The road is paved to the resort. The resort is a little dated but the service and attention to detail were outstanding. We would not hesitate to stay again. I did a lot of research and at this price point, I don't feel like we could have gotten a better deal. One resort over, the cost would have been $1000 more for the week. The landscaping here is immaculate and every single worker we encountered was helpful, kind and gracious. We booked 2 Tours through the tour company Tuff Enough (They have a dock on site). Both tours delivered as promised. We also rented a golf cart on site through the hotel with J&K golf cart rental. The cart was wonderful and they even topped off our tank and washed the carts mid week at no extra charge! It was extremely convenient to just turn the cart in at the end of the week with no hassle. We stayed in 2D (which could have better water pressure for the shower) but who cares, you are in Belize where a little water pressure issue is not going to break the vacation in paradise. Our room was extremely spacious and we had a great balcony to overlook the beautiful beach. Housekeeping was phenomenal and they even washed our dirty dishes! Please be sure to tip these wonderful folks who put so much hard work into making this place a return to again and again location.

This is a very chill resort with a great pool and lots of amenities. It has a little more casual vibe than other nearby resorts but we prefer BSR because it is extremely well maintained, has room service, maid service, a great pool bar/snacks, jacuzzi, cabanas and each unit has its own covered balcony with table & chairs facing the sea. We like the fact that the units are only 2 stories and the 2nd floor units also have an additional loft/sleeping space as needed. Each condo unit comes fully equipped* and the small kitchens are plenty sufficient for making meals and dining in, but BSR is also fairly close to town and many great dining options. (*Equipped with all utensils, cookware, dining/drink ware, drinking water & S&P.) We love that we could also walk across the street to a cute breakfast spot or kitty corner for nice lunch or dinner at the Tipsy Lobster. We arranged for a rental golf cart which is necessary to get around anywhere in Belize, so I highly recommend doing that. BSR has a tennis/pickle ball court (& supplies all gear), an outdoor "life size" chess board, corn hole, volleyball court and many lovely lounges along the shore and poolside. It boasts the best dock on the caye with additional hammocks and lounge furniture, plus kayaks, a water trampoline and swimming. Snorkeling, diving and fishing tours can be arranged there through Tuff N Uff Tours (which we HIGHLY recommend). BSR is not as large and crowded as other resorts and the clientele includes both full time residents and vacationers (mostly US & Canadians). We also enjoyed going over to the nearby sister resort, Cocoa Beach, for drinks and dessert at its poolside bar. We've vacationed here twice and will definitely return!

My wife and I just returned from Belize and had a great experience at the Belizean Shores Resort. It's about 6 km from town so not a lot of town activity. If you want to go to town you almost have to rent a golf cart or you can check out a bike. In 8 days we only went to town once, we found almost everything within walking distance of the resort. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. During our stay. The one thing that did catch us off guard was that the dine in menu at the neighboring restaurant (that also covers our room service) had a different menu and was not what we expected, it was an extremely nice meal but a little pricey, just know a head of time the dine in menu is different than the room service or pool side menu. Everything was reasonable and again the staff were extremely friendly. If you decide to go I would check out any excursions in advance, Tuff N Enough tours have an office directly on site located on the dock, We had a fantastic day on the water with them, but they will get their own review. We are already thinking about another trip next year.

This was our first family vacation to Belize. We chose Belizean Shores because the amenities looked perfect for our family of four, 2 adults 2 teens. This resort had the perfect room setup for us.
We stayed in a Sea View second floor unit. This unit included a king bedroom and also a loft with a queen bed for our kids, as well as a living space and full kitchen.
The property is beautiful, with chairs and hammocks to relax in, and the view is breathtaking!
The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating. The bartenders at the swim up bar were great, and the drinks delicious! You can order food from the property next door and have it delivered to the pool or your room.
We were able to rent a golf cart right on property as well, which was very convenient.
We will definitely recommend Belizean Shores to anyone traveling to Belize!

Upon booking the staff reached out to us to assist us with our stay. We really appreciated this service with our busy work schedules. They scheduled our flights from Belize City to San Pedro, provided transportation from San Pedro airport to Belizean Shores (small fee), and our COIVD test for returning to the US. We booked a golf cart for the week which was ready at the resort when we arrived. The staff are very friendly and are available via WhatsApp which was awesome if we needed anything. Tuff e Nuff tour/activity center is located on the dock - very convenient for booking adventures and most depart right there. There is no restaurant on property but room service which was very good, inexpensive and delivered timely is available along with restaurants at a sister property 2 doors down the beach. There are a couple of places to get food across from the resort, all good food and outdoor eating. The pool offers options with lounges, umbrellas, tables and chairs, cushion loungers in the water and a swim up bar. Delicious drinks! This was my third time staying at the Belizean Shores and we are planning to return summer 2022. Great service, condos are spacious, clean and have kitchens, on-site security. The property is well maintained. This is a family friendly resort

Thanks for your question. All rooms feature ceiling fans, air conditioning, Cable Television including all major networks and specialty channels including HBO, sports and movie channels, as well as an iron and ironing board, electronic safe, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. If you have any other questions, please contact us directly via our website.
Thanks for your question. Due to the geology and resulting barrier reef just offshore of Belize, we do not have traditional walk-in beaches with big rolling waves. The shoreline has shallow, calm water. There is no surfing in Belize. One of the better beaches for swimming on Ambergris Caye is Secret Beach, on the lee side of the island, accessible via golf cart rental. The real wow-factor in Belize is the barrier reef, with world-class snorkeling and diving. Please feel free to contact us directly via our website if you have any other questions.
There are more places to choose from in the San Pedro area.
