Welcome to Royal Caribbean Resort, right on the tip of the Yucatan peninsula in San Pedro, Belize. Situated a mile south of San Pedro town on the great Ambergris Caye, we offer quaint rows of tropical cabana suites, perfect for divers and anyone that likes their own space and quiet. We offer manicured grounds, a large beachfront view with a great breeze all the time, and a freshwater large pool with shallow ends perfect for sitting and chilling in the cool water on a hot day. Our unique Belize resort offers unobstructed views of the Barrier Reef which is less than one mile from our beach. The resort features a poolside bar and restaurant called Toast, a two-lane outdoor bowling alley, picnic spots, a spa where you can get any message you want on the beach or in your room, and an on-site diving center that can take you on all types of trips and places. We were very pleased with the Royal Caribbean Resort. Our cabana(#6) was extremely clean upon arrival and everything worked fine. The cabana is plenty large enough for a couple, with a kitchenette, wicker furniture and nice island decore. There is a separate living space from the sleeping area. Being Winter, we rarely used the AC, but it is a modern unit and worked great when we did run it. The rooms are very clean, which I attribute to the close attention given by "Marci". She made sure our room was spotless upon arrival, as well as offering to clean it and replace linens every day. Marci is great! If you have room requirements outside of what you see when you arrive, she will do her best to make it happen. For those who require reliable internet, the owners very recently (just weeks before our arrival) installed a solid WIFI mesh system. For the 3 days that I had to work while there, I had great WIFI connectivity for video calls...never dropped. This was huge for me. Having the "Toast Boozery" right next door was great. We spent a LOT of time there :). The Tuna Sashimi was spectacular. We rented a golf cart onsite; it worked fine. The grounds-keepers are constantly fixing/manicuring/updating things on the property. I look forward to when they bring more sand in for the space between the property and the boardwalk.

I cannot say enough good things about Royal Caribbean Resort! For me, the most important part was the staff. Specifically Kim, Marcy, and Bol. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Marcy checked on me every single day and made sure my needs were met. If I needed anything, Marcy made sure I got it and enlisted the help of other staff members if needed. She is a genuinely kind and wonderful person and wants her guests to feel special and cared for, like family. Kim was incredibly helpful and friendly as well. She made arrangements for me and made sure I was comfortable. Bol is another addition to the staff that makes a difference. He helped provide fresh coconuts in the mornings for me, and that was a really special touch.
The staff takes care of the grounds very well. The outside is clean and cared for, the pool was cleaned every single morning while I was there, and if you need a pad for your beach chair then they will make sure you have it. Again, the staff is very attentive to ensure your stay with them is as comfortable as possible.
The room itself was nice! My single cabin/bungalow was perfect. Very important is that the room was clean and ready. Glasses, dishes, silverware are provided. A mini fridge, toasted, and hot water kettle are provided. Everything was clean when I went in and the staff takes great care in disinfecting between guests. The bed, sheets, towels, and furniture are all very clean as well. There is a tv in the sitting area with cable - including a lot of US channels. The wifi is a little unreliable, but you're not there to be on your phone or laptop the whole time anyway.
The bar/restaurant (Toast Grill and Boozery) next door are convenient and provide great themed nights so you can listen to music or play games.
All in all, it's a fantastic place to stay if you're on a budget. You'll get an awesome experience with the staff as well - I really can't emphasize enough how truly great the staff are. They really enhanced my experience and stay.

I cannot rave enough about this resort. The rooms are impeccably clean. Head of the cleaning staff, Marcy (I believe her name was), is a gem. She made sure that we had everything we needed and made sure to give us extra towels as asked. She was very nice and personable. The front desk staff was extremely helpful with assisting is securing us a golf cart, and when time to leave, helping order a taxi that would accommodate a large group and make reservations to ride the small plane back to the mainland. One day, we were in town and a bit lost, the lady at the front desk, Natalie, was on her personal time, but she saw that we needed help and volunteered to get us on track to where we were trying to go. She was on her personal time. She didn't have to do that, but she did. Excellent customer service. There is one restaurant on the property that stays open until around 11pm. Very nice staff. One night we showed up right before closing time to grab a quick bite to eat and the kitchen had already closed. The server made the cook open the kitchen so that we could eat. Very spotty cell phone and wifi service, but that's not the resort's fault, its because of the remote location. The only complaint I have is that the beach was full of seaweed. So bad that it would've been impossible to swim (see photos). Another thing that wasn't the resort's fault. Blame Mother Nature. There were staff members with wheel barrows and shovels attempting to remove the seaweed, but it would've taken them 2 or 3 days to remove it all. It was A LOT. That just gave us a reason to take the ride over to the "Secret Beach," which I do recommend. The ride takes about an hour by golf cart, but you get to really see the island. Some of the ride is in extremely rural areas, but very beautiful and interesting to see the areas that have not yet been developed. Overall, a very cozy and no frills getaway location. For the price, you won't be disappointed.

The staff was very friendly and helpful especially the bartenders and cleaning crew. I like that the cleaners come by every morning to check if your room needs anything. Also the lady bartender was amazing and always in the happy mood. The room was decent and food was great. There is a nice pool and beach on site.

Located in southern San Pedro, conveniently within walking distance of a general store, two restaurants, and a 1-mile or a 7-minute golf cart ride from the heart of San Pedro, Royal Caribbean Resort offers onsite amenities such as a pool, spa services such as massage, manicures & pedicures provided by Laura and her team. Royal Caribbean Resort staff are professional, and attentive. Each cabin is unique and provides the comforts of home with a kitchenette. The grounds are well kept, and lovely. If you are looking to relax in a calm and quite environment this is the place! Would definitely stay here again.

Our cabin was clean and met our basic needs for sleep and shower. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Wi-fi was mostly nonexistent in our cabin and cell service was spotty. This resort is located on "south beach" and about a 1.5-mile walk to town. If you're looking for a good place to "unplug" without being completely isolated from the world, this is a good spot. (Admittedly, this was hard for me!)
As others have mentioned, a golf cart is a must to visit Secret Beach, The Truck Stop, and other highly recommended places. NOTE: Golf Cart rental costs are roughly the same price as renting a car with many companies offering weekly discounted rates.
I recommend La Gaviota Sailing Adventures if you want a small group, personable, VERY fun, and friendly crew experience to take you snorkeling and spearfishing. Lorenzo, Tony, and the crew were wonderful. Breakfast (Johnny Cakes) prior to launch and an onboard lunch was included for a reasonable price.

We loved our cabana! The rooms are spacious, very clean and provide you with privacy! The location was wonderful and we loved the view, pool and having Toast (restaurant and bar) on site. The AC was really nice and worked fast. The layout of the room was comfortable and practical. We had some serious rain one night and we loved hearing the rain on the roof. The beach area was beautiful, clean and so inviting. We snorkeled and played in the water right off the dock and it was great! The only complaint was our mattress was not the best. The best part of our stay here was meeting Marcie, the "housekeeper". Marcie was so friendly and always made us feel so welcomed. She had wonderful suggestions for local food and things to do. Marcie should be the spokesperson for Royal Caribbean or even San Pedro! I suggest everyone should go here just to meet Marcie, you'll immediately understand the kind vibe and hospitality this island embodies. She was always working so hard but would take the time to greet each guest everyday with a big smile and see if there was anything she could do to improve their stay. I wish there were more people like her in the world! We'll think of Marcie's kindness whenever we think of Belize! I highly recommend staying at the Royal Caribbean!

There are some nice things about the property but I was disappointed in the management’s lack of response to concerns and I don’t feel there was value for the Amount we spent. The cabana was clean and spacious and the property was quiet and not crowded. A nice setting but far from town & amenities. We arrived on New Year’s Eve and had booked last minute so I understand that we paid a premium price. I have to say I was quite surprised at what wasn’t included for the cost, no drinking water (and it wasn’t even available for purchase a at the office!?), no shampoo, no coffee or tea. We couldn’t even get 2 keys so we could enjoy our separate activities. I would have thought that any place that calls itself a resort would provide these basics. The kitchenette had a bare minimum of dishes and only 2 glasses for drinks and bathroom etc. The water pressure and wifi were abysmal. The cleaning staff and staff at the bars were friendly and helpful. The response of the staff at the front office when I had concerns was “I just follow orders” and handed me a card with the manager’s email on it. I emailed and have yet to receive any response... Not impressed.

These cabana's are basic in nature but are very comfortable. Housekeeping staff are fantastic and while the pool is an unusual configuration with wading areas at both ends, is great on a hot day and the bar is right beside it. Be prepared to rent a golf cart as the resort is a fair bit out of the main town area.

I recently spent two weeks in one of the casitas and had a fabulous stay. Even though the resort is about 3 miles south of main San Pedro town I walked the beach to town multiple times during my stay (daytime) and always felt safe and saw a lot more than just driving the roads in a golf cart. The place is clean, large and has a lot to offer to include fun activities like Tuesday Bingo at Toast the on site Bar and Restaurant. Staff was awesome. I would definitely stay here again.

Hi, there is a good grocery store 10 minutes' walk from the resort.
In addition and for those who still want to go further we provide golf cart and bicycle rentals at cheap rates for our guests at the resort.
Hi Kari,
We do have a restaurant-bar on sight. please keep a lookout for Tuki Tuki next time you visit.
That being said, the guests of the resort are more than welcome to bring their own drinks to the pool or beach area.
Tropical regards,
Jenny
Hi,
I'm glad you asked,as you may know, the seagrass situation depends on the winds. If the breezes are strong the seagrass is pushed south and there is no smell at all.
At this time there is very little seagrass and it is almost un-noticed.
In February there is almost no seagrass because of the strong breeze.
Have a great vacation!
There are more places to choose from in the San Pedro area.
