My now husband and I stayed here Dec 5-9 for our pre-wedding celebration on Caye Caulker before heading to Ambergris Caye. Booking accommodations in the middle of the pandemic before the country opened was an unknown experience, but Angela and her team were accommodating and helpful throughout the months leading up to our arrival and during our entire stay. We were generously upgraded to the top suite, which has beautiful views of the ocean and pool not to mention the most perfect sun rise viewing point. The room had everything we needed and it was easy to get around the resort. The location was also perfect, just close enough, but far enough away to not be in the thick of things. The restaurant was right on the beach and the viewing from the swings and dock were perfection. Shout out to Deshaun and his crew for keeping the drinks coming along with a huge smile and lots of laughs. Angela at the front desk also helped us book a snorkeling trip last minute, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. From the airport pick up and water taxi drop off, to the rapid responses to all of our questions and needs on WhatsAp, the entire team at Island Magic was excellent. We will definitely be staying here again in the future, thank you!…
As a tour operator and guide, I've visited many places in many countries and stayed at many hotels throughout 20 years. I must admit that the stay and service was genuine, fun and comfortable with UNBELIZEABLE food and Great staff at the PERFECT LOCATION ON CAYE CAULKER a footstep away from the watertaxi. I Highly recommend Island Magic resort with a 2 thumbs up and give them A five star reveiw. Thank you Island Magic resort.
This place was perfect. We had an ocean view from our room. The staff was incredibly nice to us. Going above and beyond to help us out with whatever we needed. We went to the roof for sunset and that was beautiful.
I really enjoyed my stay here..the location is seconds from the beach and the staff was extremely accommodating. My room was clean & spacious. Although the weather was not that great I still got to enjoy the great pool area they had. I will definitely be back.
I wanted to stay at a “hotel” during covid because of the service they would provide over an Airbnb. I was sorely dissatisfied in this aspect. The location is perfect / near all the open restaurants. If you want a beach view room don’t bother - you are so far back that you can a see a glimpse of the sea over the restaurant. Other hotels have rooms closer to the beach. Their dock is not private so you get a lot of locals fishing and leaving garbage there. Not a huge issue but if you want to relax not ideal. Now to the thing that really made this stay not ideal - the service. They were always closed and unavailable. They did have WhatsApp but even that was closed sometimes. 1) my flight was delayed by a day and I communicated to the hotel that I would be arriving the following day and the flight number. I land and no one is there. Took a taxi to the hotel and the office is open but no one is there. I waited about 30 mins for someone to show up. When she did she said that I did not confirm I was arriving. What?!! 2) next day I wake up and go down and office is closed. I go to the restaurant to ask where I can get a pool towel. She had to call the girl to ask her to bring me one and she explained that the office was closed. Fine. 3) I get back that night and my room was not cleaned. I asked her why and she said because I didn’t ask for it. I told her I needed a pool towel for the next day and she said she would leave one by my door. Fine. 4) I told her I wanted my room cleaned every day but she would proceed to ask - and sometimes I couldn’t answer because I was out. Whatever. 5) I asked her to book a massage and she did. I get there and the place is closed. Apparently she never confirmed the appointment. Maybe it’s cultural? Anyways, I loved CC - the location was perfect and I had great meals most nights. AC was surprisingly strong and water hot. They had microwave and coffee maker but no cups or utensils (just bowls) or anything else. It is really far back from the ocean so if you want to pay for ocean view go somewhere else. I am a little miffed that they also did not reimburse me the one night i wasn’t there. I was in constant communication with them. Comparatively other hotels I contacted were so much better with responding but I ended up choosing this one primarily because of the location. Lesson learned.…
