PROs: very clean, good location near beach, free decent morning coffee and common fridge, honest and responsive owner-manager, A/C in most rooms (but for a fee!) decent cross ventilation; yard and common area good for groups, anti-mosquito device in room, cute resident dog. CONS: very very dated furniture/decor, small rooms with no chairs (at least not in mine!), only one...

If you're looking for a very simple hotel room that is clean and safe in Caye Caulker, then this is the place for you! The hotel is a short walk away from Caye Caulker's well known local spot called the Split. The hotel is also very near to the beach, which makes up for the hotel's lack of a pool....

I just stayed at this Hotel (in one of the cabañas) for 6 nights and I loved it there. Situated in a side street of the main street makes it a Perfect spot for relaxing in a tranquil place...with hammocks! The cabaña was simple but fully equiped with kitchenette, own bathroom and even a TV. The communal area and the...

I began emailing Gertraud a few weeks before the start of my holiday, along with a few other places, and she was always quick to respond and helpful with my questions. I was staying for a week and she only had a vacancy for part of the trip, but I decided to stay for that time period anyway and look...

We stayed at Ocean Pearl for 4 nights in February, 2016. For under $35 per night, you can't do better on Caye Caulker. The place is set just off the main drag but still right in the heart of the north end activity - close to the split. It is clean and comfortable and Gertrude, the owner, can provide lots...

You don't get many extras at the Ocean Pearl - it's pretty basic. But the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the location is good and the price is right. It was also a 2 minute walk to Frenchie's diving, which is owned by Gertraud's son and is also good.

A short walk from the center where are most bars and restaurants, but close to the Split, the place to hang out during the afternoon for cocktails and sun-bathing. Very quiet, unlike people mentioned in many comments, we were not bothered by Wish Willy's music. The owner, Ms Novelo, cleans the rooms everyday and keeps the main area spotless. There...

This hotel has economical and , very clean rooms. It feels a safe place to stay .Gertrude is helpful , knowledgable without being pushy. She doesn't try to be your friend but is happy to advise when ever you ask. I loved the fact that it is in a side street and is quiet . The lobby and out door...

Very nice hotel near the beach (but isn't every place on Caye Caulker near the beach). Very pleasant and quiet. Clean rooms. Two nice seating areas outside and a comfortable lobby. Definately will try to stay here when we next visit Caye Caulker.

This is not a waterfront property, but I would argue that is not mandatory in Caye Caulker. The prices really make this place worth it. I've stayed twice, and I enjoyed the fact the hotel is tucked in off the main road...it makes for a more tranquil visit.
