We spent amazing 4 days on on Glover's Atoll in early April. The whole experience was more than we could ever imagine. After a bumpy, hour and a half boat ride from Dangriga, we landed in PARADISE! I have never seen water so many shades of beautiful blue! Eagel rays were swimming at our feet right in front of our...

I traveled to Isla Marisol Resort with a group of a dozen or so friends for a week. Never needed my shoes for the entire week we were there! It's a fantastic getaway with excellent diving (along with other activities) and a very relaxed atmosphere. But, it was the staff that really makes this place great in my opinion. Absolutely...

Everything about this place was lovely. It's always interesting to put your trust in strangers but these people deserve your trust. The boat ride out is a beautiful adventure. The cabanas are basic and comfortable with wonderful ocean breezes and views. The food is DELICIOUS and thoughtfully prepared with special and kind attention to dietary needs. My husband and son...

We were at Isla Marisol for a week in Feb-March 2016. There were few guests and it was understaffed. The owner/divemaster was not there, so a young woman was acting divemaster. We wanted the beginner scuba lessons--that was the reason for our trip. It rained the first three days. The fourth day our lesson was canceled so the divemaster could...

Dear Bill, We are disappointed to hear you were not satisfied with your visit to Isla Marisol. We wish you would have brought your concerns to our attention during your stay; we would have worked hard to resolve any issues you might have had. Two travel days, three ground transports, four flights, and one boat ride later I find myself on Glovers Reef Atoll at the Isla Marisol Resort, Whew! was it worth it? Yes, and yes again. One yes for the location, Southwest Caye and another yes for the incredible staff at Isla Marisol. If you are looking for a pristine Caribbean environment...

Hi Z! It pleases us greatly to hear you had such a wonderful time. I'll be sure to let Ms. Jen and her crew know they got you hooked on Belizean cuisine! Wasn't that dive at Gladden Spit spectacular? My husband and I love to snorkel. And although we also love to travel, we don’t relish long plane trips with 30 hours in transit to the South Seas. So I set out to find the best snorkeling site in the Western Hemisphere. Found it! Belize has the longest barrier reef in the world, second only to the Great Barrier...

Rooms were comfortable, staff very professional, exceptional diving, dive operation was top notch, Bring plenty of Deets spray, the sand flies live in droves on the island. Home cooked food was delicious. Great snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, trampolines in the water, great fishing, nice bar in a covered gazebo at the end of the pier. Relaxing, Bring plenty of books

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Isla Marisol Resort lies on a pristine, secluded palm-studded island on Glover's Reef Atoll (a UN World Heritage site) in Belize. Of the five inhabited island on Glover's Reef, Isla Marisol is the only one offering private en-suite bathrooms, fresh water showers, hot and cold water, air conditioning, and daily housekeeping service. Isla Marisol Resort also offers frosty cold libations at our infamous "over the water" bar and phenomenal Belizean style food in our dining room. Incredible watersports are just a stone's throw from the resort, with most diving and snorkeling sites just 5-15 minutes from the island. All ages and experience welcome! Anglers can hit the "grand-slam" from their front porch, with World class fly fishing for tarpon, permit, and bonefish, quite literally at our door step. Daily deep sea fishing trips for Wahoo, Kingfish, Marlin, and a host of other fun fish, depart from Isla Marisol daily. ... more   less
