My favorite place at DuPlooy's is the private beach along the Macal River. You can swim or canoe in it, or jump off the cliffs across the water. That's a 20-foot, exhilarating drop. From there, you can walk up to the DuPlooy's bar and restaurant for a cocktail. The boardwalk from the bar into the jungle and the toucans eating...

Great time at Duplooys Jungle Lodge. The staff was very attentive, Johnny was an excellent host! He was an awesome waiter, bartender, and guide to the many different birds and wildlife we saw in the jungle. We had a great time with Johnny! We also enjoyed talking to the other staff, Josh and Elvin "Oscar", they were very friendly, attentive,...

The closest to nature one can get - howling monkeys at night and trails by day, not to mention birds at breakfast, Well appointed rooms (no wifi, hurrah - only in main lodge) with full kitchen, and wonderful tours to surrounding highlights - caves, waterfall, a whole day in Tikal, and even a visit to the zoo on our drive...

After a 2 plus hour van ride from Belize City we arrived after dark at DuPlooy's. Could not see much but the sounds of theJungle were spectacular, especially in the morning. When we awoke we were treated to an amazing Eco lodge with incredibly friendly staff and great food. Birds feed on fruit remnants on the deck feeder at breakfast....

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at duPlooy's. The staff are incredibly friendly and accomodating and the food was the best. We especially enjoyed eating outside by the bar where you can view birds and other wildlife (if you're lucky) night and day. There is also a good selection of daily activities. We rode horses to Xanantunich and back (about 2...

Our extended family of 14 recently stayed at duPlooy's for 3 nights and enjoyed a wonderful time in the jungle of Belize. We were picked up at the airport by Noel, a very helpful and informative tour guide for the ride to the lodge. Accommodations were very nice as we felt part of the jungle while also close to the...

This is a picturesque Jungle Lodge. The staff were very caring and their attention to detail was excellent. I hung around their Bar & Restaurant, literally all day everyday for five days. I talked to all of them and found that many had been working there for over 20 years !! Such longevity and loyalty do not happen without reason....

We loved this place - especially staying in the tree house accomodation. There were so many fun things to do at the lodge and the surrounding area. It's very relaxing to float in the river with the tubes that are provided by the resort. Their botanic gardens are a real treat and so large that it can take hours to...

Our stay at duPlooy's was above and beyond. We were picked up from the airport upon arrival and drove inland to the beautiful town of San Ignacio. The lodge is about a 15 minute drive outside of town in a private and BEAUTIFUL property. We had access to the Belize Botanic Gardens as well as the Macal river just outside...

I went with my family (my wife and 4 yo son) as well as 2 other familys, so finding a family friendly resort was important. My son–we all–had a great time. On the grounds they have horses, amazing botanical gardens, and the resort was beautiful. The owner, Judy, was a great host and always around. The staff was also wonderful...
