We started our trip in Belize here-- it was perfect. This is a classic old-school hotel located at the top of the hill overlooking all of San Ignacio and beyond. Breathtaking views!! We were treated very well by all if the staff and enjoyed the...More
The location was good, especially if you are interested in going to the Cahal Pech Mayan ruins. It is only a block away. The setting was very pretty. Staff was friendly. However, I didn't feel it was a good value for the money. The room...More
We loved our 4 day stay here in a cabana. It really made you feel like you were on a remote vacation--with the amenities of plumbing. Rooms have shower, toilet, couch, desk, TV, AC, screened in porch with chairs and hammocks. Resort will do laundry...More
The staff at Cahal Pech we're friendly and very accommodating. Excursions were made through the front desk, transportation and lunch was provided on the full day zip line and cave tubing. What a fabulous experience! Highly recommended Thank you everyone at Cahal Pech!

there a so many things to do in the area... there are the ruins of Cahal Pech (walking distance), Caracol, Xunantunich, and Tikal in Guatemala. There is also the ATM cave, which is well worth the trip. Add to that river tubing, cave tubing, the Belize zoo, horse back riding, botanic gardens and a butterfly farm, all very close to Cahal Pech resort. A week will not be long enough to do everything there is to do close by.
And in two different stays, I never had problems with mosquito in the rooms. Ants sometimes make an appearance (welcome to the tropics) so don't leave open food around, and geckos are frequent visitors, but no mosquito.
