We chose Rosa's for a couple of nights stay in San Ignacio partly because it had good reviews. However it didn't live up to what the reviews said. The location was excellent, right in the centre of town and the staff were friendly and helpful. However our room was really miserable and depressing. The bed wasn't comfortable and the bathroom...

Benque taxi charged us tourist prices USd$20 to San Ignacio. If we had walked further up into town it would have been cheaper to bus. Rosa's room was comfortable but the bed was a little sunken in the middle. We had air condition so it was comfortable. We bought local food for USD$1 and there's 2 supermarkets across the street....

We stayed here for 5 nights in October 2014. Location is great as it's so close to everything in town. Nice staff as well! Rooms were a bit dirty and there was a few cockroaches and lots of ants in the bathroom (and by front door) but that is to be expected :) My only complaint would be how NOISY...

We enjoyed our stay at Rosa's Hotel! Small, clean rooms. AC was pretty noisy but drowned out the noise from the nightclub. If you're a light sleeper, this won't be the hotel for you. The price was perfectly within our budget. Breakfast of toast, fruit, coffee/tea was laid out every morning on the open air patio. When leaving, they let...

Nicw and clean hotel with very continental breakfast. Stuff was great, very helpfull. 30 $ for a room with a fan and 40 $ for room with a/c. Location doesn't metter because San ignacio is very small, but it was right next to a small supermarket.

I loved this little hotel, on one of the main streets. You can get anywhere with in minutes, the bus station, the shops, mom and pop diners, The biggest drawback was the truck noise coming from the street. The hotel is on a side street which is a hill going up into the country, so you have logging trucks, cement...

We stayed at Rosa's in January. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I agree with others who said choose a room away from the nightclub! It WAS loud, but it did stop abruptly at closing time. You really can't beat this place for the price. Just don't expect the Ritz! The location is very convenient to "town" ... everything...

I was lucky enough to stay at Rosa's on two occasions whilst I was in Belize! On both occasions, the rooms were ideal after long-haul flights and bus journeys, with the hotel situated a minutes walk from the central bus station in town. With steps up to the main desk, away from people at street level, the hotel is very...

After looking at some hotels, Rosa's seemed to me the most fair relating to price and comfort. It included breakfast (the only one which was included and it was very nice), it was the same price as the other ones and the location was very good. Service is ok and the comfort is reasonable for the price we paid.

Was an ok place to stay, The staff were very friendly and helpful, Rooms were somewhat clean. bathroom doors should be looked at as they only lock from the outside. Noise from the bar next door kept me awake but wasn't to bad. The location is great. loved the shopping in this area. I would definitely stay here again if...

“I forget what room number we had, but it was on the 3rd floor. 2 nd floor was the guest desk,/area where you could find a community fridge for keeping your left over food cold, or cold drinks and ice. They also had a locked fridge with all kinds of cold drink, candy bars etc that you could buy foe a small price. The nice thing about this area, they had a wrought iron gate that was locked at 10-11 pm, and someone was in the office 24 hours a day. The 1st floor had a restaurant, which btw, served very good food at a very cheap price. If you stay , check them out, at least once (not a fancy place either). The floor my room was on as I said 3rd floor, getting up the last flight of steps with baggage was tough, the steps are higher than a normal stair, not talking how many steps, "but each step" had to be a foot high, hard on the leg mussels, lol! The woman in charge did help us girls get our luggage up, thank goodness, and got us to our room. We had an inside room, down a long hallway, rooms on both sides, no a/c, 1 window, 2 floor fans, a private bath, with very little room at the small sink, the shower was normal size, but had very little water flow, and yes, hot water too! We had a queen bed, and a single bed, with a TV, which we only watched in the morning, news!I can say our room was the 2nd room down the hall on the right, there was a small hallway by our room which was to the laundry room, we used this as a shortcut to the balcony sitting area. This location was nice for the private hallway, but you could hear the street noise and the washing machines and dryers going when they were doing laundry. The front of the building is a main street, which is one way, up hill. If you were sitting out on the balcony, having breakfast, yes they severed a help yourself breakfast including fresh fruit, toast, jam, peanut butter, eggs ( cook them yourself on a small propane stove top) coffee juice and tea. You mingle with the help and other guest, free wifi is available, and laundry services can be had. The only drawback to Rosa's, is the street, and the bigger trucks trying to make it up the hill, the loudness is almost non stop till late at night, and starts as soon as the sun is up. I would never stay in the rooms up front, the one we passed to our room, had 3 windows, nice, but no ac, so if you decided to take a nap in the afternoon, you'd need to plug your ears, hopefully it will help cut down the noise. Your best bet for a room is 3rd floor, in the back of the building, some rooms have ac, some don't, we chose no ac, didn't think we needed it, but at night, we left our room door open to get some cooler air in the room so our fans had something to circulate. I know that sounds scarey, but we felt comfortable doing this as we were 1 out of the 2 rooms being rented, and we had met the other guest, and knew the downstairs door was locked. I wouldn't recommend this , but only mentioning on how safe we felt at Rosa's. The manager and her help were wonderful, if you needed anything they were quick to help, and fun to chat with, as they made you feel warm and welcome. I'd stay there again if and when I get back there, The up side to the place is your so close to everything, and taking picture's of the whole village can be done from the 3rd floor balcony/veranda. your close to the 2 cab locations, the colectiva cabs for locals, the bullet tree falls cabs that take you up towards the parrots nest lodge, you just have to ask which cab they are, and which route they take.colectiva cabs are the cheapest$1usd, but it's a shared cab, so you aren't always the only passenger. Try the bus service too, we did, and it was awesome, traveling with the locals, music and chatting amongst the passengers makes you feel like you've been riding the bus all your life. All and All, If you choose Rosa's you won't feel disappointed, for the money, your getting a great deal, and remember, this isn't the Hilton!!”
