Really liked arriving here after sailing - the room was very clean, very well organized, nicely ventilated and cool. Close enough to all the Placencia attractions. Easy to get to. Helpful owner. Everything was very well built... and recently built too; pretty impressive

My wife and I came to Placencia on our honeymoon. We decided to stay at a budget hotel and save money during the several days we went diving, and chose Manatee Inn given all the good reviews. Overall, we were very happy with what Manatee provided, a great value with clean rooms with a nice 2nd story balcony with lounge...

I just needed a place to stay for one night - this was perfect. Jarka was so helpful and pleasant. My room (upper level) was nice and clean with a nice bath. The deck was a nice place to sit and enjoy the area. It was a little off the sidewalk/walk, which made it nice and quiet. As a single...

Quietly situated at the end of the main boardwalk but within quick walking distance from the beach, restaurants, shopping and action of other resorts. Spacious, clean rooms and knowledgeable owners to help with excursions. Booking Agent for Tropic air for easy return to airport. Worth booking!

The rooms are absolutely beautiful. Dark wood line the floors and walls, with creative shutters on the windows. The water is potable, which is a big deal in Central America. Showers are hot and beds are comfy. High speed wifi is free, and you get a key to the room. The ceilings are vaulted, and the bathroom walls do not...

I spent 10 days here in January. I really appreciated how the owners accommodated my need to store a bicycle and helped me keep it safe. The location is convenient and free from people trying to hawk goods. The owners are sweet, quiet people and they built and maintain this charming place themselves. It is a lovely, wooden, European design,...

We stayed at the Manatee for a week, and enjoyed our experience there very much. Slavek, who built the Manatee in 1999, and his wife Jarka went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, helping us with tours, taxis, and suggestions. We even got to play with their adorable daughter, Emmy, in her outdoor sandbox. The location was...

Lovely friendly owners, spotless but basic room. Comfortable bed and spacious room with bathroom separated by a curtain. plenty of hot water and only a short walk to the beach. We had a corner room and enjoyed sitting on the balcony chilling out. Great value.

In 12 days in Belize I only spent 2 nights in the Manatee Inn and it is my only regret about the hotel. It was perfect. Best value for your money (US$35 per night for one person). No noise at night, really friendly owners Jarka & Slavek and the other room neighbors were super nice too. There is a great...

Great location just outside, but close enough, to the action in Placencia. Tidy, quiet, compact room with fridge and coffee machine that suitably housed our party of three. Hot water showers with lovely hammocks upstairs, our corner room with comfortable beds caught the sea breezes easily and kept us comfortable. The only negative is the open air bathroom - the...
