I spent four nights at Ranguana Lodge, three in the beach-front Parrotfish cabin and one in a cabin in the garden. The major difference in lodging is that the three beach-front cabins have air conditioning while the ones in the garden don't. I never used the AC in the beach-front cabin, as the sea breeze and fans kept things cool.... More

The owner of this establishment truly cares about your experience here and takes very good care of you. The cabanas are very cute, very clean, and did I mention the beach?? It can get a little noisy at night, just because you're close the two bars next door. But the good thing is that they quiet down after midnight and... More

These cottages are a nice, simple lodging option, located right on the north edge of "downtown." I would have preferred one of the two oceanfront cottages, but both of them were already booked. My two daughters really enjoyed taking turns on our own private hammock, which was located on our back porch. There is no pool, A/C, or restaurant. There... More

We just spent 4 nights right on the beach, in the Triggerfish cabin. We were very happy with the Ranguana Lodge. The staff was quite friendly, the location was perfect (easy walking distance to everything), and the cabin (while a bit rustic) was quite nice. We had air conditioning, but only used it at night; during the day the breeze... More

We enjoyed staying here -- the rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and we were right in the middle of things. We stayed in the Sea Shell (though we would have preferred a beachfront cabin). No AC, but we didn't need it. Great to have a kitchenette & fridge (just walk a block to the supermarket and load up... More

We stayed in the Parrot Fish cabana for six nights in January 2016. If you are looking for the Ritz, this isn't it. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable spot within steps of the ocean, this is perfect. We had everything that we needed and the location could not have been better. Just walk the sidewalk to get... More

We enjoyed staying at this hotel very much. The staff is super friendly, and helpful. This property was right next door to the barefoot bar and tipsy tuna so if we wanted a drink it was not far. the De tach restaurant was 100 feet in the other direction and the Ocean was 40 feet away which we enjoyed immensely... Ranguana Lodge has been the perfect central location to enjoy the village of Placencia. Located on the beautiful picture perfect beach the small cabana suited our needs perfectly!! It is within short walking distance of good food, shopping or simply walking the famous sidewalk right outside the lodge. The Angelfish cabana has small safe, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, a few... Very happy with our Butterfly fidh cabin back from beach. We got the last one and were disappointed it wasn't on the beach. But it is great! Larger than others - very clean and well appointed with 2 beds and full kitchen. Staff very helpful. At Centre of town including 2 popular beach bars.

Fabulous lodge in great location, 2 steps to the beach! Very clean rooms, right on the beach, on the famous sidewalk and super reasonable! It was our cheapest hotel in Belize out of two others. Two doors down from Barefoot bar, so can be a little loud on band nights, but we just kept A/C and fan going to drowned... More
