In the middle of the night we woke up to see our ventilator on fire and we inhaled all the toxic smoke. When we let the stuff know, no one cared. The hotel is in the middle of the down town of Chiquimula. Near central park and central market. They used to have close the door all the time, because the sales people near. We took the best room of the hotel (3) and it in front of the pool. In the same hotel, but different environment they have a poor...

We asked tree more hotels before we entered Hernandez. All looked better, but were much more expensive (300Q and more). Hernandez is just at the city center which makes it easier for bus connections, but also brings the disadvantages of noisy and dirty city. Despite the fact that Chiquimula is surprisingly nice town comparing to other C-A holes. The hotel...

I have stayed here twice now for several days at a time. It is close to everything. You can walk a block and eat Pollo Campero or go to the market across the street for some typical Guatemalan fares. The owner --Henry Hernandez --speaks fluent English in fact he became a friend to me. I highly reccomend this hotel. The personel --maids-- ( Maria and Lola ) were attentive and very personable. Although Chiquimula is considered a transfer point to El Florido, Honduras, I stayed there several times -- a month at the time-- to enjoy the typical hospitality...
