We spent 2 nights here because we needed our covid PCR tests prior to returning back to Canada. Located 10 minutes by taxi from the airport and a 20 minute walk from the Blue Medical clinic where we got tested. $65 US/NT including taxes and breakfast. It was very clean, secure and with plenty of hot water and great service. There were many shopping malls, stores, & restaurants nearby. Our room with 2 beds also had a fridge which was unexpected and appreciated. A small and intimate place, only 7 rooms. The garden out back is very relaxing and you can have your breakfast outside or in. Christian, the employee that works there did everything for us: checking in & out, cleaning rooms, making and serving breakfast and locking and unlocking the front gate every time we went in and out. He was always on hand to attend to our needs. We just used the bell at reception and he was there. He also printed our test results at a nominal cost.
While we were waiting for our results, we visited the Museo Ixchel which is the history of weaving and textiles. Located beside the Museo Popul Vuh, on University Francisco Marroquin grounds. A taxi from zone 13 cost us 24Q. One last thing though, beware when crossing Avenida de las Americas. You have to wait at the striped pedestrian line as the cars whip by fast (they are supposed to stop) and hope that a Good Samaritan will stop, thus forcing those behind to stop as well. I felt that I was on a suicide missing every time we had to cross. Everyone were wearing masks outside and inside and followed the health guidelines, temp checks and sanitizing of hands and shoes upon entry of each establishment including the hotel of course.
We booked directly with them via email, but I used Google translate to put into Spanish. No payment nor CC was required upfront. If you pay by CC it is $10more, we paid cash.
I have finally found a great place near the airport that’s moderately priced and high on value so will be returning.

Our room was spacious and very clean. Towels, shower gel, free water are provided. The service was impeccable. The lady on the recepcion desk helped us with our luggage (we had a lot) and explained everything about our room and answered all our questions. She was super polite! All COVID19 measures are taken. Breakfast was filling and tasty. The hotel is only about 10 min away from the airport so we didn't have to warry about leaving early.

It was our second time here and frankly it was even better than the fist one.
Thank you so much! We'll definitely come back.

I have to say Dai Nonni has quickly become my favorite hotel in Central America. From arrival to departure, the friendliest service and most charming hotel I can remember. From initial vetting on email, they were very accommodating. Like other reviewers have said, it really is a little oasis by the airport. Rooms are clean and comfortable, shower was hot, and you can walk safely to a lot of places from dining to grocery. A terrific breakfast was served with a smile from staff. You'll have to brush up on a little Spanish, but don't let that be considered a downside. The only thing to remember... you are near an airport, and at least twice during the early evening I was rattled by the sound of an airplane landing that seemed close enough to reach out and touch. The rest of the night was quiet and peaceful. I laughed it off and considered that part of the adventure, and will not let that stop me from staying there again while in Guatemala City.

We were lucky to choose this place. The service is impeccable. The receptionist was polite and friendly. He answered all our questions. There is a shopping mall with a supermarket close by. Our room was clean and tidy. Even though the room was on the first floor and the road is near we didn't hear any noise at night (I am a light sleeper). There are 3 options for breakfast. Everything is fresh and tasty.

Thank you so much for a stay!

I had the opportunity to stay at this Hostel last September 20 (2022). Its location is very close to the airport which makes it very easy for travelers to arrive. A clean, quiet and cozy space, with great friendliness and availability of the staff. The internet worked perfectly and the breakfast was very nice.

The hotel itself is pretty nondescript. It has nice size rooms and access to a garden where one can eat or relax. The great thing about this hotel is the lady who runs it is super-helpful and sweet. She answers your questions and makes sure you get anything you need. She allowed us to check in early, helped us order in Pollo Campero, and even packed us breakfast because we were leaving very early for the airport. She even directed us to the zoo which is a short pleasant walk and surprisingly was an excellent place to visit. Great stay!

Unfortunately, only stayed for 1 night.
Really near to the airport you can find this amazing place. People working here are lovely and incredible, always looking to make you happy and comfortable.
Amazing garden where you can relax and read a book.
Because is next to the airport, you can hear the planes but, to be fair, it does not bother at all
I highly recommend this place !

This is a great find! This small hotel has a beautiful courtyard/garden for relaxing in the evening. The staff are super helpful, the rooms are clean, and my bed was super comfy. The aesthetic of the hotel is unique and beautiful. It is conveniently located close to the airport, and is in a very safe part of the city. Just across the street is Avenida Las Americas, a great place for walking, biking, or just sitting on a park bench and admiring the monuments and fountains.

Truly a beautiful, serene hotel in a busy city. We especially loved our bathroom flooded with natural light from a tall skylight, huge bedroom oom and the most comfortable mattress I've stayed on in Guatemala so far. The breakfast was delicious in a beautiful courtyard and garden setting. A delightful touch is the front sitting room with complimentary water and friendly staff available for all our needs.
