The description for the meeting point at the airport is perfect, the pick-up works perfectly and the journey is fortunately short - important after a 26-hour journey! The house is in a safe area and so it is no problem at all if you want to stretch your legs or go jogging.
The very friendly staff will arrange a taxi, for example to the bus terminal, and will help with hotel bookings and give good tips.

Excellent place in low budget to spend a night before a flight or when arriving late to Guatemala city. The hosts are super nice, and will pick you up and drop you at the airport for no extra charges. the hotel is 5 minutes drive from the airport in a secured neighborhood. they also have an options to have dinners in there, which are very good. Stayed there already in 2 trips and will continue to do so in the future.

Very friendly and accomodating. We had missed our flight and so were, to say the least, a bit stressed, but they quickly got us picked up from the airport and got us settled in. Great food available, cold beers, hot shower, comfortable beds and rooms and nice relaxed atmosphere, made the unplanned stay more than tolerable and even fun. They were right on time getting us back to the airport the next day and we were on our way again. I will definately stay here again if the need arises!

This is a perfect place to base your Guatemala vacation and travels. Lorena and Henk are awesome hosts. This is so much more than just a business to them – it is obvious that they love what they do.
Full service is the key: airport shuttle, a safe place for travel weary souls, quiet neighbourhood, transport and tour bookings, lots of helpful tips, a hearty breakfast included, delicious dinner options available, and so much more. Oh, and lots of laughs and smiles are part of the package. I really appreciated their honesty in travel tips and recommendations – if you are about to do something stupid, they aren’t afraid to tell you so. They have many repeat visitors and the discussion is lively with lots of tips and stories shared over the family style breakfast. I have no hesitation in recommending Dos Lunas and will definitely book again if/when we return.

Beautiful hotel very close to the airport. They made me feel like family with advice on what to pay the taxi, what to do in the city and how to be safe. The greatest breakfast ever, with avocados from their own tree! Good hot showers, clean rooms, and wonderful stories!

We got into Guatemala City very late at night, but the driver, Victor, was right on time and waiting for us. He was incredibly friendly. He worked with our poor Spanish, speaking slowly and defining words for us. He was very patient and even tried speaking some in English despite the fact that that was clearly not a strong language of his. The hostel is in a private neighborhood with a security guard, so I felt very safe. When we got to the hotel, the manager greeted us and gave us fresh drinking water. The price ended up being a couple dollars less than we were originally told. The rooms were small yet perfect for what we needed. They provided us with bedding and clean towels. When we got up at 5:00am the next day, the manager was already up making a small breakfast for us. The driver once again arrived promptly on time. He drove us to the bus station, giving us an informal tour of the city on the way there, and bought our tickets for us and made sure we were completely set before leaving. I was very impressed with this hostel, especially the friendliness of the staff, and would definitely stay there again.

We arrived in Guatemala City thinking we wanted a budget overnight stay and a quick exit for Antigua the next day. We were a bit nervous since we were arriving at night and every tour book talks about dangers to travelers, especially around the airport. Dos Lunas is in a less safe zone (just minutes from the airport, though) but we felt safe and well cared for. We called on arrival, we were personally met by a driver, we went through a gated area with a guard, and we were whisked behind the hotel door.

We actually changed our plan that morning because we wanted to see the excellent Mayan weaving museum, and the hotel again arranged everything in advance so that we non-Spanish-speakers were safely taken and returned to our hotel, and someone was waiting for us to be sure the connection with our shuttle took place as planned. The proprietor was leaving for the day and could simply have told us we were on our own, but she didn’t. This is incredible service for a small, budget hotel—which, by the way, was charming, clean, with lovely shared areas indoors and out. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and we enjoyed chatting with the other guests. The rooms are too small to be comfortable for a long stay, I think, but everything else about this hotel would encourage you to linger.

They promised to pick me up at the airport then they didn't show up. They said it was because of construction but they never notified me that they were not coming so I was stranded. I got a taxi and he recommended a different hotel so I never stayed here. When I spoke with them they never even apologized they said they had an issue on their street and I should have taken a taxi there. Somehow they made their neglect of not showing up my fault.

Needed somewhere to crash for one night as I flew in from Flores and had a flight out the next morning. Didn't want to be too far from the airport and I read about this place on a travel blog - and glad I did. The hosts were super helpful and friendly, the room was clean and the shower hot! The bed was the comfiest one I slept on during my trip. The fact that this included airport transfer and breakfast (really good and filling) put it over the top! Remember...you are close to the airport so if hearing airplanes overhead is not your thing then this place is not for you - or ensure you have really good ear plugs! :)

It was nice staying here, Lorena and his Holland husband are so enjoyable and we had a so interesting and laughing desayuno in Guatemala. When flying in or out to Guatemala this is a perfect choice, shuttle service is included. Remember: ask them how Germans open the oysters....
