Good for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The suites are large and comfortable and the price is usually one of the more competitive in the area...basically a good deal for the money. They usually allow for an early check in which I also appreciate. They also seem less up tight about having outside guests visits than some of the other Guatemala City hotels.

This all suites hotel is great value for money. The rooms are huge and breakfast is included. They are a little dated but very clean with comfy beds. Concierge will organise a taxi for you from the airport to the hotel for 10USD, it only takes 10-20 mins depending on traffic. Stunning breakfast area with waterfall and plenty of food choices.

I stayed two nights in this hotel with a small tour group. We’d just spent two nights in a small B&B in Copan Ruinas I enjoyed the contrast between the two. This is a high-rise with gym, refrigerator in the room, diligent housekeeping and reasonably-priced room service.
I wasn’t feeling well the first morning and put out the Do Not Disturb sign. In the early afternoon when I was feeling better, they actually called and asked if I wanted housekeeping service! I did so they sent someone up.
I got room service the night before-Shrimp taquitos a la diabla. They arrived piping hot and were very good.
I didn’t check out the gym. Breakfast buffet was the largest and most varied of any on the trip so far. I felt bad that I’d missed the first day due to not feeling well!
Restaurants of every type available in walking distance. Just watch the traffic if you’re on foot!

Avoid this hotel! Rooms are ok, but service is the worst in the entire country. Quite rude staff at the reception, Been charged 60$ for additional breakfasts (30$/breakfast, more expensive than a 5 stars in Singapore). It’s a robbery.
Cleaning people knock before 7 in the morning, so remember to put the “do not disturb” the day before.
Although paid 60$ for an additional person, the rude reception staff decided not to extend the free welcome cocktail to the second person.
A more than negative experience, going against the grain of all the other hotels in the country, where I received better and more professional treatment. The stars do not define the goodness of a hotel, and Clarion is the confirmation of it

I have stayed two times in the last two months, first during 2 weeks and later only 1 week. Arrived tired from office and every time I choose to call room service the call either was not picked up, had to call at least 4 times, and twice I had to go down to ask personally what to order, other times I had to call the front desk to assist but was not of any help either. The rooms are clean and most of people is attentive, but the room service is just really bad. I am recommending other colleagues to choose other hotels in the zone.

Not suitable for business travelers more for tourists.
Unable to conduct meetings in the public areas (business , lounge, or patio). If you plan to relax or have a casual business discussion it will be very difficult. My clients (locals) and myself repeatedly asked for the music to be turned down, even slightly. We were told by the staff it was not possible as per management policy. It was to create an atmosphere to attract street business to the bar. The patio was impossible to sit out on as the large speakers are directly over your head.
There are better hotels in the area which are more suitable. Best for tourists for a stop over.

This hotel is well located and has an excellent staff very helpful. Good restaurant and dishes. The rooms are of good size but the sheets and bedspreads were very worn as well as the towels , very few are provided. Only one small soap was available and few more bathroom supplies. Furniture outdated. There is very noisy, mainly the rooms facing the volcanos as a disco is a few feet from the hotel and with the loudly music is impossible to sleep, it usually stops at 4;00 am every single day.

While the rooms were okay, the service was terrible and the staff rude, going to the point of blankly making fun of me and my friends for complaining about the food we ordered being overcooked and smaller than advertised. Moreover, when we first came to our room, there was a stain on my bed, showing it was clearly the same sheets used by the previous guests, or that they just dont bother washing them after taking them off. In conclusion, i would not recommend coming to this hotel as it is clear they do not care about the guest’s experience.

We are part of a bigger group in this hotel. Traveling from the US. The day we landed, loud music was played in the next hotel. unable to fall asleep, one of us called the hotel staff to report at 12:30 am but the manager said there is nothing they could do about it. The next day the water was shut off for many hours due to a maintenance issue. The breakfast buffet was as close as a regular mariott continental breakfast (nothing close to a buffet) and restaurent food was just mediocre but crazy expensive. The staff here have a I don't care attitude. Overall this is not a place I recommend.

Very nice suites. Comfy beds! Very spacious. Breakfast was very good with lots of food choices. Room had lots of plugs which seem to be hard to find in a lot of hotels. Staff very friendly. We had a late flight home but they were able to store our luggage which gave us the opportunity to do a bit of walking around the City.
