I have traveled with this hotel since my first visit in Guatemala in 1989. Although I have explored around six other city hotels over those initial years, I have returned each time to the qualities of food, service, and attention to details, that I have experienced here. For years I have brought large and small groups with me. Since 2019, I and my companion have traveled here together as a couple as our number One Choice! I still visit about 6 to 8 visits each year. This hotel holds the memories of a Nurturing home for me.

The hotel is much nicer than I expected and in a great location. The bathroom was lovely and had lots of counter space. There were no issues with housekeeping and my room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was amazing and had so many options. I loved the fresh coconut water (they give you an actual coconut!) and orange juice (from a sophisticated juicer).

Worst hotel ever in Guatemala City!!!!!! I’ve stayed here multiple times with my family and the quality seems to go down every single time. The last time I was there the rooms where outdated. Dirty windows, the water would leaks from the shower. And this time, I decided too book a room for my lone mother whom is currently stying there. I regret booking her at this hotel so much. I’m a platinum member that I get from my mother’s own Bonvoy Brilliant card. They refuse to give her free breakfast because I’m not there. But apparently it’s okay to give her early check-in and a junior suite upgrade even though I’m not there. Heck i have sent my mother and father on my account to the Luxury collection and they have always have received free breakfast without hassle. And I know management have always taken initiative to take care of my family when I’m not there. As any normal person would expect recieve the same courtesy . But apparently the management in this hotel has gone down the gutter It’s so heartbreaking and infuriating when I received my mother phone call. I now know that I can’t count on this hotel without being there to take care of my family. I have sent my parents at lower tiers Courtyards that have taken better care of them that this crappy fake Westin hotel. But thank you!!!. You have officially lost me a!; my family as clients. Sincerely, Luis Perez

The architecture, reception, rooms, restaurant & bar, pool area are great. The location is superb, taxis lined up in front are ready (mind travel times though, the traffic is really very bad). In the restaurant, special thanks to SONIA ORANTES, who totally understands hospitality and quick service. She built a nice relationship with us in a short time and anticipated our orders, making us feel like with family.

A Westin…. A classic Westin… Beautifully designed Welcoming… Just wonderful. If you appreciate a Westin property, this is Must Experience. From the lobby to the rooms, you KNOW you are in a Westin. Classic and elegant lines and finishing while remembering you are in Guatemala City. And as it is for me, a level of gratitude to walk through the doors. And, as it is for me, a sadness to depart. Can you tell, I love Westin?

About one mile from the airport, $10 taxi ride. Clean, comfortable hotel, super friendly staff. Gym is to fitness club standards, meaning much better than your typical hotel gym. Great pool. Tasty food. Casino on the first level meant it was easy and safe to get quetzales (cash) any time of day or night from the three ATM's on the first floor. This hotel was a delight.

Great hotel, closed to the airport if you have an early flight. Rooms were spacious and clean. Centrally located within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and other hotels. Excellent breakfast buffet. Friendly staff at the reception and lobby area. Great exchange rate at the reception area.

A pretty good hotel in a convenient location. The reception staff was very accommodating and pleasant. We arrived there early afternoon and we wanted a brief city tour as we were the first time in Guatemala City, and only for 2 nights. The reception staff found us a taxi driver for that afternoon who spoke English. He was a great tour guide. Guatemala traffic is horrendous, never saw anything like this. Not even in Mexico City!! It pretty much does not matter what time of the day it is; it's just stop and go! The hotel itself is pretty nice. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom a decent size. Remember though, ONLY drink bottled water. Even to brush your teeth, use bottled water. The hotel offers free bottled water in your room. We had an earlier dinner at the Italian restaurant located in the hotel. The food and wine was excellent. Next morning we were picked up at 4:00 am for our flight to Tikal. Not being able to eat breakfast at the hotel, they provided us with "take-out" breakfast which included fruits, a sandwich, a cookie, a sandwich, and water. After we came back that evening from Tikal (a tour I would really recommend) we had dinner at the hotel restaurant. That dinner was not that great. I had fish, which was ok, my friend had chicken, which was good as well. But both guys had meat and neither liked it. They both said it was very tough. We all had breakfast the next morning at the hotel restaurant. The spread was excellent and if you like omelets, have one. The room was a nice size, the bed was great! However, the blankets were very heavy and warm!
