The lobby, dining areas, pool are, and rooms were all very clean and beautiful. The pool cushions are covered each night to protect from rain, and the pool is maintained regularly to remove fallen leaves; the pool area is filled with lush trees and plants. The fitness center is extensive, with numerous separate rooms for weights, spin classes, yoga classes, and cardio equipment.
When we arrived, it was Saturday before Easter, and there was a beautiful example of sawdust carpet just inside the lobby for us to enjoy for the holiday.
The breakfast buffet was spectacular, with many options for fruit, yogurt, breads (even a donut tree!), meats and cheeses, Guatemalan foods, eggs, and much more; there was an omelet/egg station and a crepe/pancake station for made-to-order selections. Also available were fresh juice varieties, and even a table filled with coconuts where you only had to grab a straw and take it with you. We enjoyed 3 mornings of breakfast and one evening meal; I highly recommend the Surf & Turf Tacos. One day by the pool we shared a plate of Nachos, which was fantastic.
Our room was very nice; we had plenty of bottled water each day, the towels were soft, and the beds were comfortable.
All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. There is an ATM on site, which was very convenient. Cab fee to the airport was $10 and could be paid at the front desk or at the concierge.
I will not wait another 20 years for our next visit. Thank you!

You need a card to access the elevator and go up to any floor so I feel very safe in this hotel. It’s also in a good central location that is relatively safe for tourists. The amenities feel luxuries but the rooms are pretty traditional and not very updated. That being said the bathroom feels luxurious, the shower has good pressure. The bed is comfy and the sheets are better than average hotel room sheets. This hotel really feels like a place where you spend most of your time around the hotel and only a little time actually in your room.
Whether on business or making your way through Central America, this is an excellent location to stay at, especially for guests that require english speaking staff like myself.

The hotel requires using a mask in all public places except for food and drink places.
The room is already equipped with amenities and you can request others in case needed (e.g. dental kit or slippers).
The bed is comfortable with nice pillows and the room temperature control is ok.
All of the bedside and desk lamps are old fashioned with the power button inside the lamp which is not so convenient to control; in other words you can’t control all lights from a central location but you need to pass by one by one of the desk/bedside lamps to turn on/off.
I received couple of worn out towels which I didn’t expect from such a nice place.
There’s an ice machine in the corridor.
The hotel is huge and has a nice outdoor swimming pool.
Information about opening hours of the reception/front desk aren’t updated; they operate 24/7.
There’re couple of restaurants, an ATM, underground parking and some shops withi m’n the facility.
Prices are quite high in comparison to an average Guatemalan income but similar to a 3-4 stars hotel in Europe.
Otherwise, it is a nice hotel, with very good location in Zone 10 near restaurants and nightlife.
Very attentive staff in all areas.
My only suggestion is to modify the shower floor since it is very slippery or include a non-slip mat.

For example:
- They provide two small bottles of drinking water a day.
- You have to pay extra for an espresso.
- There are no stairs on the ground floor so you have to wait for one of the two very slow elevators even if you only have one floor to go up or down.
- There are no omelettes in the breakfast buffet.
- They send you a survey to ask your opinion; However, the survey works only when you are connected to the hotel's Wi-Fi, but the email with the link arrives two days after your check-out.
The list of small frustrations like this is long. You can get it better in the center and much cheaper.

The breakfast buffet is also quite well-known and many people, even non-guests of the hotel, like to go to El Cafetal for breakfast. Personally, I felt it was quite overrated. It doesn't have many options and what it has is pretty average, nothing special. I would have preferred to go out for breakfast somewhere else in the vicinity of the hotel.
The gym, pool and sauna are pretty good. Overall, it was a good experience.
I really wish they were honest with me upfront so I could have earned more points booking through another site.
We only stayed in this hotel for 12 hours so it is not possible to comment on its facilities. It was perfectly adequate in meeting our needs. The corporate nature of the hotel meant that it was lacking in character – it could have been in any large city.
