This hotel is very easy going nice environment and love the pool is shaded and clean. It’s near downtown and road to Antigua Pretty close to mall Miraflores and plenty of restaurants. In the morning traffic is a bit heavy plant trips early or after 10Am
The hotel has long been my family's go to hotel when visiting family-- it has always been an exceptional and comfortable experience. Kind staff, good rooms, fine food, etc. But our last visit had us stay in a bug infested room. Me and my family were bitten relentlessly by bugs throughout our stay. The pattern of our bite marks resembled those of bed bugs. I had bite marks on my legs, back, and arms. We reported to staff members about this problem, and they graciously offered us another room, but we decided to forgo the hassle of repacking our things and decided to finish our short stay in our given room. We are unsure if we will ever return.
After two plus weeks traveling around Guatemala we decided to splurge and stay our last few days in the luxe Grand Tikal Futura in Miraflores. I was woo'ed by their marketing: designed for your comfort. It was in fact quite luxurious and comfortable. The pool and spa is gorgeous and relaxing, but note that there is a small fee to use the pool. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. It is walkable to the Museo Miraflores which has recently been renovated and is very nice. Otherwise you have your choice of multiple shopping malls.
The executive suites were fine. The benefits of the 9 th floor and up were unavailable because we were in a code red. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. We had 4 rooms and every bed was bad. The breakfast and staff there were exceptional. Buy your drinks at the restaurant as the bars up charge for the same drinks.
5th stay over the last 15 years and we continue to return! We love the location for shopping, dining, bowling, etc. A few covid things - the pool was easy to schedule with the spa desk and we were able to enjoy the pool and hot tub, ping pong supplies were still available at spa desk, executive lounge is closed which we were initially disappointed about - but buffet is included instead (which was wonderful!). The airport pickup was difficult to schedule due to the website not accepting USA credit cards, but the front desk was able to assist. Our scheduled ride to the airport was on time for our 4am departure and very pleasant! Housekeeping was perfect, as always! Our room was comfy and clean. Thank you for being so kind and consistent at the front desk over the years!
El hotel está localizado en un excelente punto, rodeado de muchos restaurantes muy buenos. The hotel is in an excellent location near lots of very good restaurants and a very modern shopping mall. Highly recommend.
overall it was good I just didn't have enough time to explore the surrounding of the hotel, the mall next to it and gym or pool, otherwise it would have been amazing. Food at the Hibiscus Restaurant was OK did not have a lot of selection but it tasted good.
I usually stay here at the end of my trips to Guatemala. Rooms are comfy, clean, and the stuff is always friendly. The mall next to the hotel is a plus. I was able to find souvenirs without paying too dollar at the airport. They even let me print a document without a charge.
Good place, Kind Staff. Good food. Everytime I visit Guatemala city, I stay this hotel. Room condition is good. Very convenience place. Price is also reasonable. Room service is needed some better service. It is finished 11 pm. Room service time need some extend.
Hotel is nice but my shower had little hot water pressure, the air conditioner didn’t work well and was booked on the executive floor but the lounge was closed. Overall a disappointing stay at this hotel. I understand that they are coming off COVID restrictions but they need to make sure the basics work…shower and air con.
