Mi Casa is a small and very modest hotel. Rooms are simple and furnished in in early 1970s style. No luxury, just what is needed to spend three nights (as it was in my case). Breakfasts are also simple: toasts with jam, some tropical fruit and coffee. However, its location is most advantageous for a tourist: 5-minute drive from the airport, 3-minute walk to a TransMetro stop and around 10-minute walk to Zona Viva, the same way as to museums. I do not speak Spanish at all, but some people from the staff understood elementary English. Anyway, they all were friendly and helpful. The main decision maker (manager / owner - ?) Donna Anna spoke English, and we successfully resolved the problem caused by a fault of my travel agency’s partners. Moreover, when I had to leave my big suitcase for three nights while flying to Flores (because of weight restrictions on domestic flights), she gave her consent to keep it without hesitation. So, I would like to thank her once again for understanding.

we found this nice hotel walking in the center of town. it is very convenient, close to lots of restaurants and few blocks from the Secret Garden, electronic music club. The hotel feels very secure and it has a beautiful garden with lots of flowers. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The room are confortable and very clean. The neiboorhood is very safe so you can enjoy walking around, even by night. I will come back here next time and revommend it.

I stayed here for a night at the beginning and end of my trip in Guatemala, it was just what I was looking for - close to the airport and it felt safe. However, both times I was the only guest, which made me feel a bit uneasy but the staff were friendly and happily ordered taxis to and from the airport for me. It is expensive for what it is compared to other places I stayed in Guatemala.

I had a pleasant stay in this place. Affordable prices. The location is convenience and safety. I will look for it next trip to Guatemala avoiding a 5 stars hotel near by. Not a big deal for a short period of time. Owner and workers are friendly.

I just spent four nights at this very pleasant, modest little hotel near the National Museum of Anthropology (and near the airport). The hosts were VERY kind and helpful, the facilities very clean, and the little outdoor breakfast nook had lovely potted plants all around for a very enjoyable typical Guatemalan breakfast of eggs, black beans with sprinkled cheese, and fried bananas. I plan to stay there again next year. Bruce Love, Anthropologist

We had an early flight home out of Guatemala City so we decided we needed to stay close to the airport. I hadn't done any research on places in the city and had to rely on my Lonely Planet guidebook that had listed this place as 'mid-range'. I'd called a couple of nights before to reserve a double room. We were tired after weeks of travel and I made the mistake of paying first before seeing the room. It was located right off the 'lobby' with a large plastic yellow opaque window in the separating wall. The lobby light came right into the room. We heard each guest who came in all night. The guidebook listed that the room had fans and reading lamps. Neither were in the room. There was a strange damp odor in the room even with an air freshener hanging in the bathroom. The sheets also had the dank odor. I asked for another room and was told this was their only double. We didn't even feel comfortable enough to sleep under the covers so we both slept all night fully-clothed on top of the sheets. Avoid this place!
