I stayed for two weeks at Hotel Posada San Judas to convalesce after a surgery in the city. The staff was wonderful, from Patricia Fernandez the manager, Don Jose and Felipe at the front desk, the ladies from housekeeping, and the security officers, everybody there is very kind and accommodating. It is very close to Zona Viva, in zone 14 and just a ten minutes drive from La Aurora Airport. it has a hospital right in the corner, supermarkets, restaurants, modern malls all around, and a pharmac, bakery, beauty salon within the premises of the hotel, additionally, the hotel has front desk and security 24/7, I felt very safe and care for especially the following days after my procedure. The hotel features small and medium and large apartments fully furnished, very cozy and comfortable. Daily breakfast is served either as room service or in the terraces with beautiful views of the city. Overall a delightful stay, I recommend it to anybody. I will stay there the next time I travel to Guatemala city.…
Great, cozy place in a nice, quiet and safe residential area, close to restaurants, mall, hospital, embassies and many other services nearby within walking distance - also just a 15-20 minute drive from the airport (30 min during rush hour), and about a 1/2 drive from the old city centre (Zona 1) and other visited neighbourhoods (Zona 4 and Zona 10); overall nice rooms, good breakfast, and friendly staff who are always ready to help - I've stayed there 5 times while travelling on business and on holiday, and I've never been disappointed - thumbs up for Posada San Judas!
This was a nice stay in a nice neighborhood. The check in was fast and courteous and the hotel staff was very responsive to my requests. The room was large and the kitchen area was the right size. I didn't care for the tiny shower, which even for my small Asian wife it was basically a broom closet. The room could have used a ceiling fan since it has a kitchen and the room was always stuffy. To leave the windows open was to invite the mosquitoes in for dinner. They do conduct pest control, but the mosquitoes were still a nuisance. The wifi was average at best, good for checking emails and nothing more. I would stay at this property again for the value, but would ask for a room with a larger shower.
