It is quite challenging to write an comment on this Hotel. Ambient, location, architecture, garden, views and rooms are just great. But if you are on challenging trips in tropical latitudes, still less developed countries with all the hazzle on border crossings, transportation and a lot of time to make some miles, you would expect a little more for the...

Hotel Atitlan offers some of the most beautiful gardens we've experienced and magnificent views of Lake Atitlan. The rooms are very comfortable with all necessary ammenities. We really enjoyed the excellent buffet meals served in the mornings and evenings. All in all a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Beautiful hotel with lovely gardens and views of lake and volcanos. Nearby Panajackel for shopping and enjoying flower, fruit and vegetable market. Lovely diningroom with delicious Guatemalan food and fresh fruits.

Nice hotel, it's very well mantained, the gardens are beautiful. When we visited, the hotel was completely empty, as we went off season; service was good but I've heard the restaurant has very slow service when there are more guests.

Some background: I came for a conference at the hotel but brought my wife. At check-in they didn't ask for my card but later hounded my wife that they needed it immediately. She said I was in meetings but they treated her so poorly I had to leave a meeting to give them my damn card. Day 2: my wife...

We arrived on the Wednesday after Easter to visit the towns around Lake Atitlan on their market days. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are excellent. The views of the lake are stunning. The gardens surrounding the hotel are beautiful. The bar is great. The food in the restaurant is excellent for Guatemala. Everything was going great, until . ....

We stayed here for 1 night as the place we wanted to stay (La Fortuna at Atitlan) was fully booked for the first night of our trip to Lake Atitlan. I hadn't realised when I booked it that it's just outside town via a hazardous walk along a main road with no footpath - you can take a tuk-tuk and...

This hotel is probably one of the best in the area, it has beautiful gardens and it is decorated in traditional Guatemalan style. The views of this hotel cannot be beat, they also have their own doc and helicopter landing area, this makes getting here extremely easy. The one thing I would suggest to them is that the waitstaff in...
