I stayed here or only one night. The rooms are very basic but also very cheap. The shared bathroom was clean enough and there was warm water in the shower. I would consider coming back for a night or two if I was ever back in Pana.

For Q150/night you can get a private room with a bathroom (hot water included). The hostel is run by a family and they are all very friendly. The rooms were basic, but clean. We had planned to sleep in, but there was a small window in the ceiling that let it so much light, it looked like the ceiling light was left on. The bells from the church nearby made it pretty impossible to sleep in as well. However, the price, service, amenities, and location made up for that. I would recommend this place if you are traveling on a budget.

Spend 1 night here. I think prices are Very fair in oposit to equipment of rooms. Shared bathroom (saw just one, this could be problem at season) and no posibility to use kitchen. Its not on main road so its not loudy place (+1) Also guy in InformationCenter recomend us this place without hesitation.

We reserved a room by phone after looking at photographs, the posada's Facebook page, and reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and Lonely Planet. Believe me, it's not better to be in the older part of the town! The pluses first: friendly and cooperative family, drinking water garafon downstairs, a garden of sorts, wifi, quiet, price, safe, upstairs balcony with tables and chairs, near the municipal market, located in a cul de sac near the oldest church in town, mountain views from 2nd floor balcony. Sounds good, right? The negatives: the room is GRIM. A short sleeved shirt was tacked to the wall as a decoration: what could have been stuffed into the pocket?? Signs posted on the outside of our window admonishing guests not to bring non-guests into the posada and not to get drunk and disorderly. Dark room. Lumpy pillows. Thin thin sheets directly on mattress. No closet. A long, ugly, traffic congested walk to restaurants, the lake and Santander Street for a night life, requiring a tuktuk to get back in the dark, and it gets dark early in January. One night and we moved to a cheerier, more central hotel. We 're too old for this....

We stayed only one night prior to our shuttle to san cristobal but would stay again. Maybe a 15 - 20 minute walk from the docks at embarcadero. A 5 - 10 minute walk to the bars and restaurants on Santander. Look for the sign up on a wall across the square from the San Francisco church - it's 50 meters down a side street named something like delfino. Note it is not on Callejón las armonías as google maps shows - keep going up Árboles a little further to the square. Cozy little hotel. Shuttle collected us there.

Peaceful, comfortable, friendly, good WiFi, good security and good value. near the church and market (you do sometimes get woken by the bells, but I don't think there's a hostal anywhere in Pana where you don't get woken by something and I prefer 10 minutes of bells in the morning to hours of barking dogs and roosters). It's one of the best budget hostels in Pana. I'd definitely recommend it and go back.

Great price - super nice people, super clean. Not fancy suited our needs, great court yard. Church bells served as an alarm clock. Also close the the best espresso I've had. Was a little hard to find at first, tucked away down lane.

At 70Q (less than USD10) for a single with private bathroom this place is definitely the best priced place in Panajachel. (Also has rooms with shared bathroom for less). It is up the hill from Calle Santander and very close to the church so incredibly easy walking distance from Calle Santander (the main tourist street) the market as well as the two docks (muelle). It is a small place that is family run with nice terraces and plants. Wifi is included in the price too. Definitely a good option for the budget traveller wanting a quiet place. Actually there is one noise - the church bells but for the price I was more than happy to put up with it!

Rooftop view of the volcanoes, hot showers and WiFi. A lovely and friendly place to stay in Panajachel. A patio full of plants, helpful hosts, and located near enough to but not on the main drag. We slept well although we would have preferred a double to the twin beds.

Villa Lupita makes a nice first impression. It is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Panajachel, They have a nice puppy, and the family who runs the place are sweet as can be. It looks beautiful - lots of bright colours and a small jungle courtyard. It was not until closer inspection of our rooms that our impressions took a turn. Our room was infested with spiders. In the windows, behind the mirror, behind the painting on the wall. We looked at another room to see if we could switch - spiders, and we could see tiny bugs crawling inside of the bed sheets. We checked out another room, which was seemingly bugless, and the owner was very apologetic and accommodating, letting us change rooms. The price was right, but unless you like spiders, like-like spiders, stay somewhere else.
