Good location, walking distance to lake, shops and restraunts. Friendly staff and clean rooms but night gets very noisy from locals noise and morning is noisey from the two German shepards which live at the hotel. Maybe a room further back would be a better...More

The people at this hotel are very nice. If you would like the dogs put somewhere else, I'm sure they would respect that. I even forgot that they had dogs until you mentioned it. They were no problem for me, but if they were, I'm sure the staff would do whatever they could to make your stay there comfortable. I hope you don't miss a nice place to stay. I do recommend you ask for an upper room with a balcony. I can't remember my room number but the porch was lovely and so was my stay there. The most comfortable bed I had in Guatamala.

Are you departing from the airport? If so, you can get a shuttle to either Antigua or Panajachel there. Once you leave Customs, the shuttle booth is to your left before you leave the terminal. A shuttle to Antigua usually costs $8-$12.
I am guessing that one to Pana is maybe double that price. I usually got from Antigua to Pana. A shuttle from there is usually $7.
Hope this helps?
My favorite place to stay in Pana is Hotel Utz Hay. My favorite restaurant is Guajimbo;s Uruguayan Grill.
