The hotel staff is very friendly even though they didn't speak English very well (and I don't speak spanish). The rooms are clean and big enough. The sounds of the birds in the morning make it nice to wake up to.

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel, it was very clean and the hot shower was amazing. The service is very friendly at all times. What I loved about this place is that the birds will wake you up with their chants, and the view to the hill from the bedroom's window it's spectacular. The hotel is located 1 block away from San Francisco Church and ATM, and 2 blocks away from Crossroads Coffeeshop, very convenient and good price.

After reading on TripAdvisor about Hotel Montana...I was really disappointed : ( We arrived on Saturday late afternoon to a beautiful hotel but that night was anything but beautiful !!! Loud music kept my 2 traveling companions and I awake until after about 3:30 am !!!

Hotel Montana was the best hotel value wise I found in all of Guatemala. I had a vehicle and no reservations so checked out many before deciding. Glad I ran into this place. Nice basic room private bath. Patio with chairs in front. Extensive gardening. Private parking if you need it. Like $14.50US single. One block to central market which is great place to eat or pick up fruits etc. Also wal mart mini supermarket 3 blocks away. A bit hard to find as others have mentioned. If you are at the old church walk straight out and cross the little plaza in front. Narrow entry way to right across street directly ahead. There is a sign there. Walk or drive in. Nice top floor deck with view of volcanoes. Very good price. I did not find it to be noisy at all. You do have to walk 15 minutes or so to the shore down the main street. They have a restaurant there also but I got breakfast for much better deal at the market. The owner is a fun guy and likes to talk. Spanish only. If you don’t need to be down on the main busy street this is a good option…

Near church and shops in Pana, quiet with rooms off a central courtyard, seems relatively safe. Parking available. Free wifi. Basic accomodations with private shower. Not luxurious but good value. Would return.

Excellent Hotel, on a tiny side street away from the noise of downtown with a view of the Mountains Rooftop patio with a view of the lake Clean and well maintained A short walk or TucTuc (tiny 3 wheeled cab) ride from the tourist attractions of downtown The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable due to a small error we had a room with 2 single rather than a double bed, we assured them that that was ok but when we returned from downtown they had switched out the two beds for a double! that is extraordinary service

Hotel Montana Panajachel This is a really good place, particularly because it is practically the only hotel in town that is not surrounded by the constant noise of motorcycles tuk tuks , trucks and buses. It is very quiet and peaceful. The rooms are reasonably nice and reasonably well appointed although definitely not luxury type. It is very clean and has great showers. . It is very inexpensive considering the amenities that it has. It has a beautiful courtyard with plants and trees and balconies. It is a great deal for the money.

In the deep end of a very narrow street, Hotel Montana is something that you do not come across by walking through Panajachel. You really need to know that it exists, in order to find it. It a pleasant three-story building surrounding a pleasant wild garden. Rooms are quiet and clean. Although it doesn't have any nice views over the lake as other expensive hotels, everything is a a walking distance in Panajachel, and in 5 or 6 minutes yo can reach the magnificent Lago Atitlán.

There are cheaper hotels, but they are way down in the quality scale. The hotel has a restaraunt, secure parking, wireless internet and a terraza on the top of the building for quiet, undisturbed reading. It is one block from the market, three blocks from downtown and the bus parada It is off the main road, so it is quiet. But there are some talkative birds, in the morning, in the courtyard,
