Thesis the best of hostels and cheaper hotels of which we have stayed in the western highlands. A comfortable clean colonial building with large bedroomsand multiple patio and common rooms. Easy to cook and wash cloths or sit in comfort away from the noise of this fascinating town.

We really liked the private room with bathroom and shower. The place has a great atmosphere and the owner is very nice and helpful. We would recommend this place to any couple looking to stay a couple of days in Xela.

My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights in Xela and we couldn't be happier to have stayed at Casa Renaissance!!! The hotel is located directly in the center of town and thanks to the great insulation, we did not hear any of the noise coming from the main square!! The hotel itself is BEAUTIFUL - offering rooms with both private...

What girlfriend and I liked about this place was that we had lots of space in our private room to put our stuff. Kitchen, TV room, and other areas were super clean. Nice pressure in the shower and hot water. Marieke was amazing in providing us with lots of information and advise on what to do around. The place is...

My two daugthers and I stayed for 2 nights at beautiful Casa Renaissance, a clean, quiet, comfortable, spacious and affordable guest house, the best I have come across in my traveling experience. Besides a very large room and comfortable beds, we particularly enjoyed being able to cook some meals that we could then eat in the pretty courtyard - a...

We arrived late in Xela and Marieke made sure everything was allright. Also after our Tajumulco trip everything was arranged. She also helped us with our further travel plans so we could enjoy Guate for the best. Price/quality ratio=amazing! Marieke is a very open and helpful person. You can ask her anything and she is willing to help. Thanks again!!

A friend and I spent two nights at Casa Renaissance in August 2015. It was a last minute trip and we didn't book anything ahead. We showed up in the evening and we're greeted by the owner. She is friendly and helpful. We decided to get our own separate rooms since it was so affordable. The rooms are huge and...
