My wife and I found the staff very pleasant -- especially the restaurant employees. As others have said, our room was basic but clean. It's also a very pretty setting, and you'll probably get the chance to see some wildlife -- e.g. turkeys, coatimundi, birds,...More
Good basic hotel conveniently located close to Tikal National Park. Great food and excellent service by the dining room staff. We enjoyed the pool in the hot afternoons! Special thanks to the manager, Roxy Ortiz, for her help and advice.

I echo DavidW W's comments. Power generally 6.30pm to 10pm at night, and 6am to 9am in the morning. I've only stayed in the bungalows at the end of the long track away from the visitor centre, but nights were warm but breezy, and no problem getting to sleep, especially after a hard day exploring/climbing. Windows all have grills/mesh so while windows/vents are open, no bugs get in.
