I spent two nights here during my second visit to Copan Ruins. The room was clean and comfortable and the bed had a nice warm blanket. The bathroom facilities are outside the bedroom area and all sinks are public, but as it was not overly crowded during my stay that wasn't a problem. I really appreciated that they provided towels,...

I have stayed here several times and the place is very clean and has a pleasant main area to sit, free water and very nice showers with hot water. The staff is great. A little ways from the main plaza area but that is a good thing.

My wife and I spent 4 nights here after coming from a week in Utila (scuba- party island). The Iguana Azul was a very welcome break from the constant noise and party vibe of Utila. We stayed in a private room in the hostel and we're impressed by the clean and lovely rooms and the bathroom and showers were impeccable....

My partner and I were both sick when we arrived here, and it was probably the best place we could have chosen to recover at. We stayed in one of the private rooms, which was 390 LPS (a little more than what they advertise on the website, but it was totally worth it). The place is spectacularly clean and has...

I have stayed in several different hostels in Central America and this has to be one of the best. I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere, the lists and suggestions for things to do and places to eat, and the facilities. We had access to do our own laundry (which we did) or to pay a very reasonable fee to...

The Iguana Azul at first glance did not strike me as a "hostel", because it lacks the frills of many other highly rated hostels. There is no wild party or reception desk to be found, but that does not mean that information or a good time is lacking. We found the room to be extremely comfortable, the bathroom and common...

Very friendly, very clean, everything working properly. There is loads of valuable information on what to do in the surroundings, the highlight being the marvellous Maya ruins. The owner was extremely helpful and nice, helped me finding a way to Nicaragua avoiding the tourist traps. All the staff was great. Highly recommendable!

Iguana Azul has all the amenities and is very clean, well-kept and fun. Next door to the hostel/dorm rooms are private rooms + a lovely cafe in the garden with the best breakfast I've had in Honduras!! Also there is a ton of information about other activities around Copan and Honduras. Excellent for backpackers/other travellers.
