Iguana Azul has all the amenities and is very clean, well-kept and fun. Next door to the hostel/dorm rooms are private rooms + a lovely cafe in the garden with the best breakfast I've had in Honduras!! Also there is a ton of information about other activities around Copan and Honduras. Excellent for backpackers/other travellers.

We loved copan because we felt here really safe. The city is quiet small but has his own little charms. Locals here are used to tourists and all helpful. Iguana azul is a little but cute hostel with creative owners. There is a lot if information offered and the staff always tried the best to help us. Best of all;... More

This is a hostel expansion of the "Casa de Cafe" hotel, a couple of times cheaper than the parent, situated next door. The facilities are outside, but are very good and clean. One can walk barefoot around. The wi-fi was good, and they have a drink water tank in the common area - very convenient! The room did not have... More

Iguane Azul is a nice place to be. We stayed there for only two nichts but it was very nice. The shared bathroom is outside but that is not a problem at all. There are a lot of informations in the hostel so you know what to do in Copan - and it's not only to visit the Ruins of... More

My friend and I stayed in Copán Ruinas for 5 days and fell in love with the town and the surrounding area. Iguana Azul is in a... More

Late at night no hotel booked and their there OPEN. Sad for them but great for us, woke up to a clean well lit cheerful room. Once you get over their great love for TripAdvisor plastered all over the walls in compleat proudness, your find clean and lovely decorated bathrooms and seating area. And next door at Casa De Cafe... More

We were struck with sickness in Copan Ruinas (no fault of this hostel) and Howard was extremely helpful organising a visit to a local doctor. There was a lot of information about local activities and the restaurant next door was delicious (although pretty expensive). The room was a bit small and tired and the shared bathrooms are outside. No good... More

I spent a week at Iguana Azul, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. This hostel doesn't really feel like one, but rather a nice B&B. Cute place with good indoor/outdoor seating areas, freshly cleaned facilities, and nice decor. $8 makes this a good value. The best part was the wealth of information provided- I was able to plan my whole week... More

What a great find! This lovely little hostel is a couple of streets back from the hustle and bustle of the streets of Copan so it is lovely and quiet. It is very clean and comfortable. My partner and I got a private room and although we usually go for a private bathroom we were really content with the shared... More
