This is the perfect place to stay. If you are looking for quiet, friendly, great food, and amazing views. To the south you have the rains, and to the north the ocean. It is just out side of the city which is perfect because the city looks pretty dirty and scary. We were offered two different rooms to take a...

Staying at Helen's was wonderful. We were in La Ceiba for our daughter's wedding and were at Helen's for 6 days. The staff was great, the rooms were clean, the setting was beautiful. Helen, Jack, Fabio, and Renee all made our time at Helen's memorable. I am sure we will be back again. One note of caution: my husband and...

The hotel is a bit far from Ceiba and the main road, but this gives it a beautiful landscape sun and beach and quite sorrundings. They have a restaurant and if it is the weekend it colud be with some people that are not staying at the hotel. The manager is really a great guy, but they have to improve...

The Villa was ready for us even though late arrival (advised them in advance)--room spotless, exceptional view from the balcony, practically private pool just below (separate from the kid and crowd area!) PRICE is amazing, as is the privacy. We have stayed here before and wished this time for more time, for sure. We'll be back! Food was good--great cheeseburger...

Nothing loud or extravagant about this place. It simply offers the best of La Ceiba area, including quiet, safe surroundings, a clean beach, tropical surroundings, proximity to mountains. The hotel is also close to the other attractions in the area, including Sambo Creek, Canopy Tour, Aguas Termales, and a Water Park. Our room (a suite) was clean, comfortable, and had...

I stayed at Hotel Helens during my last trip to La Ceiba, and would definately come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet retreat outside La Ceiba. Even though it is outside the city, there are many things to do, and I found that most tour operators were very familiar with Hotel Helen's and had no problem...

My father and I just got back from 10 days in Honduras. We had reserved a room at Villa Helen's via e-mail before we went. Jack was wonderful in providing information, answering our questions and helping us plan our trip. He was even better when we got there! As we toured the country, our plans changed and Jack was flexible...

Stayed at Helens middle of June 2009. This is a nice, clean, small beachfront hotel. It is absolutely not a resort but instead a quaint little hotel. I read some of the negative reviews and just don't get it. Especially for the La Ceiba area....this is a gem. Really pretty grounds, clean rooms, good prices, little but cute pool. Yes,...

I travelled several times to Honduras and Villa Helen's is definitely my favorite place to stay. Quiet, relax, clean, great beach (very rare near La Ceiba) and away from the city (not for night life). Service is extremely friendly, Helen and her staff are awesome. Food excellent (ceviche is fantastic and Fabio's drinks rocks!!!) and fresh. The place is quite...
