This is a really nice mid priced small hotel in a safe part of the city. A converted house of a former president, it is perched on top of a quiet hill overlooking the city. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable and thoughtfully decorated with local art. And the staff truly bent over backwards to arrange everything for us,...

Friendly staff, big comfortable clean rooms and most of all safe... I travel a lot back and forth between the states, and I was a bit optimistic seeing the price not knowing what I was getting myself into but once I checked in I knew I found myself a home ...give this place a shot and visit the restaurant the...

An interesting place in a rather nice residential neighborhood of Tegus. The President House Hotel has single, double, and triple rooms, as well as a new dorm room (which was occupied by a school group from the US on a mission trip during my stay). My room was nice, but dark, with little natural light. Hotel restaurant cooks up excellent...

We were booked at another hotel in town and when we arrived, they quickly shuttled us to this hotel because they were overbooked. At first we were very concerned, since I had spent a lot of time trying to find a safe, affordable and convenient hotel to the airport. This hotel was definitely not a down grade. The rooms were...

Everything was OK until a member of the staff came inside our room by accident to show it to other persons; apparently administration didn't updated the ckeckin information and thought it was empty. We were really mad because they almost caught me coming out of the bathroom!

Excellent customer service! Safe location, super clean, delicious food, best lattes ever!, safe transportation, unbelievable value!! I give this hotel 5 stars because it goes above and beyond normal expectations. This is the only place I'd stay when I visit Tegucigalpa over any other hotel. Trust me, once you try it out you will never want to stay anywhere else!

The staff was extremely helpful. The place was always clean, even during construction. Breakfast was included and very satisfying. 10 minute walk to stores, mall, grocery, restaurants. They were actually building a cafe in the hotel when I left which will be an additional plus. I will definitely stay here again.

I flew into Tegucigalpa as a solo female traveller, looking for accommodation that would fit my backpacker budget, as well as provide a secure place to stay in a big and unknown city (with, let's face it, not the safest reputation). With Gabriel's beautiful hotel, I struck gold. Immaculate, beautifully furnished, spacious dormitory with bathrooms and lockers, 24 security, attentive...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tematic Hotel focused in local culture and history. Our location is a real President House, it was built almost 40 years ago by a Honduran President who took office in 1972 and 1973. His name is Ramon Ernesto Cruz Ucles. Once he and his wife passed on, their siblings inherited the house and then put it on sale. This historical house was slightly refurbished and remodeled to provide a cozy feeling to Tegucigalpa visitors. Enjoy this house in one of the nicest and more secure residential areas in town. ... more   less
