This was our 2nd riad and Morocco and this was definitely the most impressive in terms of the grandness of the structure itself. We also had the best breakfasts here of bread basket, jams/honey, yogurt, coffee, fresh squeezed OJ, and omelette. The staff was very accommodating without being intrusive. It's larger and therefore not as intimate as the other riads...

A beautiful interior - high ceilings, intricate carved wood and filing, central area filled with plants and antiques. Fabulous suite - a bit like staying in a National Trust property.

I went to Fes in September. Having never been I searched high and low for somewhere to stay. Raymond at Riad al Bartal was very helpful with my several email enquiries prior to my stay. A car was organised to collect us from the airport & take us to the Riad. On entering the Riad - you are WOWED. It's...

It is a beautiful place, fully updated, and the staff was fantastically kind. The building is just fantastic, I think our room (the cheapest one in the place) must have had 30 foot ceilings, with zellige/plasterwork from floor to ceiling... The atrium is green and cool. We did not get a chance to eat there but the dinner smelled fantastic.

We had three nights in this extraordinarily beautiful riad and would recommend it to anyone. Although the weather was over 35 celsius the temperature dropped immediately we stepped into the shady courtyard. The rooms also had air conditioning so we slept wonderfully. The staff were fantastic - really friendly and helpful but not pushy. Food superb - we ate breakfast...

The building itself is gorgeous, and the dining area is the courtyard in the picture. The staff, Omar in particular, was great, very helpful and generally a great guy. The loft room is the only small room, but still very nice. Our friends stayin in the parental suite, that was very very nice.

By the end of my stay, I was absolutely blown away by this gorgeous riad. I went with my mum for a week and we have both said we would go back, even if just for the riad. The rooms were beautiful, the roof terrace was heaven in the sun, the breakfast was even better than I imagined (and the...

My husband and I, on the recommendation of a friend, chose to stay at Riad al bartal during a recent trip to Morocco. Three big knocks on the old wooden door saw Omar the manager, happily greet us and we were led into the most beautiful jewel of a hotel. We were swept away by the intricate carving and mosaics...

Lovely riad in the old Medina. We had a beautiful suite with a very comfortable bed and a fabulous round copper bath (big enough for two). The food was very good and the staff friendly and helpful - and of course the parrot that could almost whistle Colonel Bogey
