What can I add to all the other reviews? I totally agree with all the earlier reviews, but also want to add that the sympathy, company, hospitality and helpfulness of the owner, Dan Pearce, and his staff, meant that I actually enjoyed the experience of having my passport stolen in the souk and my return to the UK delayed by... Hidden like a labyrinth beyond the mystic walls of the medina's of Marrakesh, lies a hidden jewell in itself, "Riad Maizie"! Once inside this beautiful romantic riad, you fall completely under it's spell and are over whelmed by it's natural charm. With the Intoxicating scents of the orange trees, and the faint sounds of Andrea Bocelli echoing through the wind, when... More

so happy that we landed here to enjoy not only the beauty of the restored, traditional riad, but also the wonderful conversation with our hosts Dan, Abdel-Ilah, Abdellatif, and the lovely ladies who made our scrumptious Moroccan tajine dinner. located within a 2-minute walk from the magic souk, riad maizie is within easy walking distance to most anywhere in the... What better way to get to know 'old' Marrakech ... the narrow alleyways leading to the Riad Maizie, its proximity to the souks and Djemaa el Fna square, as well as the bustling surrounding narrow streets of the Medina could not be more eye-opening. No the least of the pleasure was the welcoming by Abdul Ilah and his two sisters... More

I stayed for a total of 4 nights this October with 2 friends at Riad Maizie - see the well designed and informative website : http://www.riadmaizie.eu/, 3 nights at the beginning of our stay in Morocco and 1 night at the end. The Riad is situated right in the heart of Marrakech's narrow and winding streets in the old town... More

Riad Maizie provided a wonderful, relaxed and friendly base to explore Marrakech (only 10 minutes from the "square"), the Atlas mountains and beyond. The room was delightful, the service excellent and the breakfasts superb. Our host made us very welcome and on our first evening guided us to the square and introduced us to some very friendly and helpful locals.... More

Like many other reviews have stated, Riad Maizie is beautiful and also great value. Yet it is the staff of the riad that truly sets it apart. James, the manager of the riad was so warm and helpful--he even led us to the main square the first evening of our stay so we might find our way back through the... More

Apart from Marrakech being a truly wonderful city, when we arrived at the Riad, James (Who becomes your new best friend) is beyond helpful and accommodating, making you feel, at the end of your trip, that you are simply staying with friends (but friends who make you amazing breakfasts served on the terrace, mint teas and smuggle you in beers... We decided to go to Marrakech for New Year 2009, and happened upon the website for Riad Maizie and booked it without any additional information (largely as it seemed well-priced in comparison to other riads in the Medina). In short, we were absolutely delighted with the quality of the accommodation and, in particular with the welcome and utter homeliness that... More
