Please stay away. We had other person's luggage in our room, no towels and a shady greeting for my friend's first ever visit to Marrakech/Morocco. Then when we wanted to go to bed, the beds had no linen! At breakfast, we were told the coffee machine was broken. By then I did not know whether to cry or what?

We found this attractive riad to be well run and hospitable - with Hasfa and her team offering a genuinely friendly welcome and helpful attitude. The rooms were bright with local craftwork and there is a lovely roof garden. Should you eat there you will find great home cooking. The taxi pick up at the airport is essential as it... More

All was great: our room in the Riad was simple, beautiful, and warm! At this time of the year it can get quite cold in Marrakesh at night, but they have gas heaters in all rooms and other parts of the Riad. All very clean. The driver picked us up in the airport and Hafsa was at the riad to... More

We arrived at Marrakech Airport with the intention of staying at here, then travelling on to Agadir before returning again at the end of our holiday However it became clear from the airport we were not in for a enjoyable stay. The prebooked airport pickup did not arrive leaving us stranded at the airport. After much angst we eventually found... More

A really lovely Riad. From the moment Hafsa greeted us from the taxi that picked us up from the airport (for free) we were made to feel welcome and everything we could want was provided for us. While Hafsa speaks little English this wasn't a barrier that affected our stay. Each day a lovely Breakfast was provided for us on... More

As two female students we decided not to go for a big hostel and went for this budget riad instead. A free airport pickup was included. We had to wait a while, but we had no hold baggage so maybe longer getting through the airport is normal. Hassan, the driver, took us to Ben Saleh square (closest the car could... More

Very nice riad, quiet and peaceful. Nice rooms with heating and hot showers. Comfortable bed. The staff and the owner are superfriendly, they help you where they can! They help you organize your trips from Marrakech, help to bargain good prices, offer you soup and wine from time to time, buy your bus tickets,... They offer a lot more than... More

A small and peaceful little riad about 15 mins walk from Place Djema el Fna ( the east, in area Ben Saleh.) I would recommend it for its price category (budget.) It has rooms around a small courtyard planted with lots of greenery. Two rooms lead onto a private inner balcony. There is a roof terrace to lounge on. What... More

I spent a delightful one week stay at Dar El Calame. A quiet and restful atmosphere, clean spacious rooms decorated with taste and a helpful, efficient and always discreet Hafsa who takes care of everything and makes you feel like at home. Once you step in from the animated, crowded Medina, right into the patio with its fountain and trees... More
