This is a nice Riad in the not so touristy part of the Medina which added to the experience. It is an intriguing 15 minute walk from Jamaa el Fna Square with plenty of motorbike dodging and funny encounters with the local hustlers. The Riad itself is clean and quiet. Ahmed was very helpful. The rooms are a little dark...

The good: A nice helpful welcome on our arrival, showing us where we were, where things we wanted to see were located, directions etc. The rooms were nice and clean with a very comfortable bed, and nice Moroccan style bathroom. Riad itself was quite modern (more so perhaps than the photos suggest) though pleasant enough. The not so good: The...

We spent 2 nights at the Karmanda and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were welcomed with smiling faces from the start. Ahmed and the rest of the staff were fantastic in every way possible. Mina's home-cooked tagines were out of this world. In a city full of places to eat I would recommend those who stay at the riad to...

A charming riad in the hussle of Marrakech, perfectly located. Only 10 min walk from the Djemma el Fna place and the souks. The rooms are comfortable, clean and charming. The bathrooms are nicely decorated. As in most riads and hotels in Morocco a hot shower is not a given, certainly not in the morning in winter time as the...

We stayed at the Riad Karmanda for a few nights while in Marrakech. The riad was beautiful and very comfortable. We were warmly welcomed and looked after very well by Amina, the host. I would recommend a massage and hammam session and the lovely plunge pool. One thing to bear in mind is the walk to the Riad from the...

The Riad is wonderful and the stuff were very friendly. We liked the quitness of riad and its lovely smell after walking in the chaotic streets of Marrakech. We have been there with our children of 6 and 9 years old who loved the small poll in the patio. Breakfasts are excellent with coffee, muffins and fresh orange jiuce. We...

Wow what a fantastic time we had staying here. We were a group of 11 girls who took over the Riad for a long weekend to see the sights, relax, and shop! All our needs were taken care by the lovely Ahmed and his staff - from arranging taxis, tour guide, to getting us more drink supplies - nothing was...
