Fourth stay in two years we love it so much. Everything is just perfect. Breakfast is adapted to your needs and is just unbelievably good. If you want to sightsee then the owners will walk with you or advise on where and what to do. The two staff are top notch. Hasna is a fantastic cook and will provide meals according to your tastes and needs. Driss will meet you at the nearby taxi stand when you arrive from the airport and take your bags with one of the greatest smiles you ever will see. Everything is served with his smile. We really can not fault anything, nothing needs improvement. They will book a hammam or restaurant or even day trips or longer ones too, everything is provided without cost. We are so suprised that this riad is not number one, it will be we are sure.
Hosts and staff all amazingly perfect. It is all so clean and beautiful. It is like staying in someones home and so safe I did not bother locking our room door! This beautiful riad is situated a couple of minutes walk from a taxi drop off and pick up point and there are always taxis there to whisk you away to the sights. Because it is just a little away from the souks it is peaceful and quiet and the locals begin to make friends with you! The air is clean here and the birds sing, a very happy place to be. Whilst here we visited another riad for a meal and it made us appreciate Dar Oulhoum even more. This was our third stay at this amazing riad and hopefully not our last.
"Dar Oulhum", in translation the house of dreams, is the perfect place to stay when in Marakesch, if you want to be in contact with the Moroccan civilization and the vivid life of the Medina. Guy and Bruno are the perfect hosts and they will make you feel like you know each other forever. Shared some special moments with Guy, who is very relaxed and funny, in savouring a tigaret, while Bruno was presenting my companion the option to spend quality time in Marrakesh and around. The rooms are fabulous and everything was perfect with the help of Hasna and Driss. The terrace was our favorite place to spend time, in the mornings at breakfast and evenings with a glass of wine. Breakfast was on our taste and we loved the tea and the every day different types of pancakes. Even if at first the route to riad on the narrow and crowded streets of Medina can scare you, we never felt in danger, and people, especially kids will help you if lost, for as little as a 10 Dirham coin (1€). It won't though be the case if you use Bruno's little original guide book ;) He also helped us with outside Medina activities, by arranging the sort trips with taxi drivers and agencies. As a plus he helped us with the taxi from and to airport. Thank you, Guy and Bruno! Bus, bus!…
Everything at this property is first rate. It is a highly appointed historic gem..., from the service to all amenities, it is a slice of heaven. The architecture is stellar. Quality combined with comfort in nature offers a very unique, wonderful experience.
Bruno's stunning Rian exceeded our expectations- and they were high! The beautiful common areas, including two outdoor spaces- were beyond beautiful. Every space has unusual interesting furnishings and I especially loved the mirrored sitting area. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Location is perfect and breakfast delicious. As an added treat we also had a dinner with Bruno and his friends from France. It was lots of fun and a unique experience. Bruno was also very helpful in confirming our excursions and tours. I highly recommend the Riad Dar Oulhoum- GO GO GO! It's awesome.
