I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Riad Alili. Honestly, our experience here was the highlight of our time in Marrakech. My husband's wallet and passport were stolen in Djemaa el Fna the night before we were meant to fly home. This threw us into a state of utter stress as we handled police reports, calling the consulate, and completely changing our plans (we ended up needing to stay in the country an extra four days). However, everyone at Riad Alili was amazing and unbelievably compassionate and helpful. We had to extend our stay by a night and Youssef made sure that wasn't a problem. He and the rest of the staff took care of us completely, which was a huge relief at this stressful time. Beyond their help during our situation, the staff was just stellar all around. Mustafa was a wonderful smiling face every day. When I needed to return our rental car to the agency, he walked with me all the way to the parking lot to make sure things were taken care of properly and was a huge help communicating between the agency worker and myself. He and Saida served us breakfast every morning and insisted we could enjoy breakfast wherever we wanted in the riad, whenever. Eating breakfast on the top terrace is such a lovely memory. That brings me to the food. It's fantastic. Fatima does an unbelievable job. Definitely have at least one dinner at the riad, trust me. I am not a morning or breakfast person and I started eagerly looking forward to the breakfast at Riad Alili, probably the best we had in all of Morocco. We stayed in the Alili Suite which was fantastic, beautifully appointed and spacious. We loved that there was plenty of storage space for all our luggage and the bed was extremely comfortable. The riad itself is in a calmer area of the medina, and conveniently very close to a parking lot if you're driving. Honestly, I need to say it once more because it bears repeating. What makes Riad Alili truly exceptional is the people. Youssef, Mustafa, Reda, Saida, Fatima, Amina, and everyone else on the staff are absolute gems. When our trip could have ended so poorly, they made everything better. We will always stay here in Marrakech.

We spent three nights at Riad Alili in the Alili suite and our experience from reservation right through to departure was exceptional. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Every detail was noticed and the service ethos was outstanding. Little touches such as rose petals placed around the bed and in the bathroom, extra candles and nightlights, offers to take breakfast to the top terrace for us, booking local restaurants, providing information on local sights etc. All done with a smile and a true delight in pleasing guests. We had breakfasts and one lunch and on each occasion the food was excellent and served beautifully. Youssef and his team are truly world class. Thank you for making our stay in Marrakech so wonderfully unforgettable!
