A group of seven of us took the Riad for a special birthday. We had a wonderful time. The location is perfect, the rooms excellent, the staff were so helpful and accommodating. Yes the call to prayer woke us in the morning, but isn't that how it's meant to be? Highly recommended by picky people

First of all, this riad is an amazing location, right in the middle of the Medina. While we were a bit skeptical when our airport transfer dropped us off at the edge of the square, unloaded our bags into a random cart, and told us "Now you walk", when we walked into the Riad it was like arriving at an...

Like some others, our first night and initial pick-up was a bit bewildering, but once we settled into the riad it was quite a nice and pleasant place to stay. The terrace was particularly nice, though we were fortunate to have it all to ourselves when we were up there. We stayed in the Chocolate Suite, which was very spacious...

After arriving in Marrakech, we took a taxi into the main square, Jemma el Fna. The taxi originally wanted 250 dirham to take us right to the riad. We talked him down to 150 (£12-13) to just the square. Once out of the taxi a kid guided us to the riad, which would be quite hard to find as its...

we are a couple in our mid 20's and stayed at riad des arts for 7 nights in the 'collonial tent' room at riad des arts. We went for the transfer from the airport. We rang the hotel and arranged this for our arrival only, this cost 17 euros, this is expensive considering a taxi to the airport costs around...

if your planning on taking a trip to Marrakesh be sure to take more funds than planned. Arriving into the airport a short taxi journey 2.8miles to our hotel cost us £30. Stunned by the price of the taxi...we were dropped off on the Square (jemma el Fna)... to find someone unknown waiting for us to tote our suitcase in...

Excellent riad to spend a few relaxing days in Morrocco. The hotel is really close to the main square, meeting point for all kind of activities. The decoration and renovation of this hotel was perfect, keeping the arabish style with a chic and posh style for visitors. Quite small with just 5 rooms to keep the environment cozier. A trip...

The Riad has a great location, right near the Souks and Jema El Fna main square. The rooms are themed and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful, particularly Mohammed - the lovely porter / riad front desk manager. Mohammed organised a fantastic day trip into the Atlas mountains for us, with a brilliant local guide called Hussein. I would...

The Riad itself was amazing - rooms great and perfect location. The 'night porter' guy was brilliant and we spent quite a few nights chatting with him. Very friendly and welcoming. Zak (the owner or manager) started off being very friendly, always providing us with mint tea, even if we hadn't asked for it. However, when we got the bill...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Riad des Arts is a traditional riad in Marrakesh. Located just a few steps from the Jamaa El Fna square, not far from Bahia Palace, this inviting boutique riad stands within the narrow streets of the city's medina. There are palaces and souks close by, and the riad is ideally placed for exploring the Ourika valley and the Ouzoud. Airport transfers are available to guests. The hotel terrace offers sweeping views of the medina and the tip of the Koutoubia Mosque. Guests can relax on the solarium and in the hammam, taking in the mesmerising vistas, before retiring to the patio, where palm trees and touches of authentic Morocco frame the glistening pool. Guestrooms at the luxury Riad des Arts are immersed in Moroccan style. Interiors drenched in warm shades feature comfortable furnishings and modern amenities, such as WiFi access. “Don't believe them if they say the room you booked is unavailable, demand to see it. The best room is the Arcade room in terms if aesthetics, but it doesn't have A/C. And demand for toiletries otherwise they won't provide it. That's IF you stay here - you're better off going somewhere else!!”
