We spent a a week here in early December and had the most amazing time. The Riad itself is absolutely beautiful and is kept immaculately. The staff could not be more helpful in meeting all our needs. They bent over backwards to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. In particular, Oussama, Hamza and Yousef were so helpful, friendly and accommodating. One needs to bear in mind that the Riad is in the Medina. Its a few minutes walk through the the Medina alleyways to the the main street where taxis pick you up, but there was always somebody on hand and to walk us there and back if we so wished. Noir D'Ivoire is a truly amazing boutique hotel. They provide a level of service that you would be lucky to to find and in the best 5-star hotels!

Riad Noir d'Ivoire was simply amazing! I had no idea of how beautiful and well organised this place could be! The stylish design and interior makes it really a unique experience. The entire staff was superb to say the least. They gave maximum attention during the entire stay. Small details such as having the fireplace setup in the evening, the room always ready, the live music every night, the wonderful food selection, were really well thought. Everything was simply perfect. I cannot think of anything out of place or that could be improved, it was simply perfect. We only stayed for 5 nights and I wish we could have stayed more :) The restaurant was fantastic as well, with a great selection of food, wines and spirits. The location was simply great. Thanks again for everything ! And see you again soon.

I would love to mention the names of all the staff at this hotel but they were all so astonishingly helpful. Beautiful gem of a hotel with attention to detail beyond anything I have encountered. Cleanliness and design beyond compare. My background in travel includes The Raffles, Singapore, The Datail, Langkawi, the Peninsular, Hong Kong and a few other rather special establishments that are world class and I would now count this for service and thoughtfulness above them all. The Riad is small and obviously due to size constraints is not able to match the larger hotels of the world, but if you wish to experience the real Marrakesh with a luxurious base this is the place! Even before arrival the service starts. With email and telephone call to check if there is anything they can do to make your stay more pleasurable. I love this place and these people who now feel like family. Keep up the good work my lovelies ❤️

Hi there. Another tip. On the day of arrival, ask the riad to send somebody to wait for you at the medina gates or even the airport. It's impossible to find the riad by yourself, believe me, even with google maps. Another thing. I was travelling with my wife and I recommend not to stay longer than 9 pm in the center or the outskirts of the medina. I travelled through a lot of countries but I have to admit that I felt quite unsafe with her in the medina. Guys stare very inapropriately and once some very young boys even grapped her by the butt eventhough she was dressed according to local social standards. The beauty of the medina and the riad noir d ivoir a worth the bad stomach feeling though and the riads staff will do everything to make you feel safe.

I don't recall any ground floor rooms, but you can definitely email the Riad to find out. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the Riad from the taxi stop, but they will definitely send someone out to meet you/guide you in (as the medina is a maze) and the walk is easy/level and scenic as you're walking through a bit of a bazaar. None of the Riads we stayed in had elevators, so old stairways are likely to be the norm just about anywhere you look.. especially if you're staying in the old quarter/medina.
