Beautifully restored house on top of the old medina near the kasbah with tastefully decorated rooms. With lots of common rooms to meet fellow travellers and the French owners, this feels more like your home in Tanger than just a hotel. Booked directly with the hotel, very smooth with airport taxi pickup to the not so easy to find hotel...

I stayed here last week w my college age son and had a wonderful time. The staff were lovely in every way, and we enjoyed speaking w Philippe, the owner. We stayed in a wonderful two-story room w deep red walls, gorgeous fabrics, and a quirky selection of art, travel books, and literature. We missed the cocktail hour (a shame...

The Moroccan staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean, well furnished and comfortable. The view is incredible and the books delightful. The downside was that the management was cold as ice. No advice, poor information, no welcome or introduction. You feel like you're intruding on their private club. When they expect you to pay so much and don't...

We spent 3 nights at Dar Nour and found the reception staff to be very disinterested in us. At no time did they offer any advice or assistance and we had to ask for a map. We were horrified that such a highly rated place would provide bath towels that were very threadbare with holes. The stairwells stank of stale...

Spent a couple of nights at the Dar Nour; it is excellent. At the edge of the Kasbah (don't believe those who say it's deep in the middle and dangerous!) just 100m or so from the Bab Kasbah (the entrance gate to the Kasbah) where you can pick up a taxi for around 1€ to go most places in Tanger....

I reached there after a long journey and they didn't have rooms!!. I have booked with Booking dot com and had my confirmation but they said they never received my booking and are out of rooms. They offered the annex next door but I refused since I'm traveling solo I didn't feel safe staying at a separate place which looked...

The Dar Nour is a completely quirky hotel, set deep in the Casbah in the very oldest part of Tangier. There is no vehicular access at all - not even a bicycle can get through the narrow passages - and you will certainly need a guide to get from A to B. The hotel itself stretches through and over a...

We spent two weeks at Dar Nour. It is beautifully situated in the medina and each room has chic interior decoration with lots of art books, paintings, and sculptures. The roof deck is a wonderful way to end every night, overlooking the medina and listening to the call to prayer from multiple mosques. Breakfasts are delicious and generous, and the...
