A wonderful oasis of calm, serenity, excellent service and the gentle lullaby of smooth jazz - an escape from the hussle of the World of the Kasbah outside. Transported back to the 1940's with charm and original furnishings (including antique working radios - piped jazz). Room 8 had wonderful views over the straits and the arrangement was so romantic. Roof...

We stayed in three different hotels/riads during our stay in Morocco and this was by far our favourite. Though not really a traditional riad, it has the same structure, with rooms around a central lobby. The room we had was stunning - loads of space and our own private courtyard. Beautifully but simply decorated, gorgeous roof terrace with some of...

We made a 30-hour trip to Tangiers from our holiday base in Spain and chose La Tangerina on the basis of reviews and location. The hotel is close to the highest point in the casbah, with jaw dropping views from the terrace over the rooftops of the medina, out on to the whole of the bay of Tangiers, and the...

After traveling from fes to tanger, we were told they had given away our reservation and that they had rebooked us at a comparable hotel. The comparable hotel was not remotely comparable, did not meet our expectations and was priced €15 higher. When asked to compensate for the difference, La Tangerina management refused, never apologized for forgoing our room and...

My husband and I booked this hotel for 2 nights based on the trip advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. We took a taxi from the ferry where we crossed from Tarifa using the FRS ferry. It only took an hour to cross the water. We then took a 10 Euro taxi from the port to the hotel which took...

I stayed here with a friend. We enjoyed the decor and panoramic views from the terrace. The breakfast in the morning was standard continental breakfast eaten on the terrace which was lovely. I would stay here again.

We continue to return to La Tangerina not only because we love to be surrounded by an incredibly beautiful house, impeccably clean, warm and elegant, european down duvets, rooftop Dinners and breakfasts high above the Kasbah overlooking the Straits of Gibraltar, but we genuinely feel so taken care of each time we go. When a couple like Farida and Jurgen...

First of all, if you want that riad feeling, I don't think this is the place. (I think Fez or Marrakesh would be more appropriate places anyway.) I think it's still a nice place though. The rooms are nicely decorated, and it gives nice feeling of a rich past. The staff was also helpful and polite. The view from the...

Staying at this incredible hotel was like taking a time machine back to an earlier era, perhaps 1930s or 1940s colonial Tangier. The decor and furniture in the rooms and lobby are perfectly matched to the era, down to the old-fashioned radios that only play jazz music. We met one of the owners, and she described the 4+year process of...

I would agree with all the positive comments made before. I would like to especially underline how helpful the staff is in this riad, this is the place where everything (or almost) is possible for the client's satisfaction. Food they serve is delicious. Here I also would like to point some less positive points so they could be eventually improved....
